If you like good white and can afford to spend a few shillings on a bottle try Sancerre. Tesco and M&S will charge you Approx £4 per bottle but you can go as high as £30 for some. £4 a bottle from M&S? No chance!

Lidl has a terrific selection of wines. Not quantity but quality. Unfortunately the one in Canterbury is way out of my way. I don't drive any more

What attracted you to this? Did you just shut your eyes and point or did someone in the boozer give you the head's up?

With all the excess time I seem to be finding myself at these times, I've had plenty of opportunity to clear out some storage that I have put off for years. Today I discovered a 2003 Port stored properly on its side! Will see how this one has aged!!

Had a bottle of this over the last couple of days: www.vivino.com/ten-zero-zero-stories-zinfandel/w/2918277£12 reduced from £15 at Sainsbury's. Wee bit disappointed. Not worth £12 imo. It was OK but nothing special. Strong at 14.5% and you could taste the bourbon from the barrels it was aged in.

Went for a drink yesterday for the first time since lock-down. Had Johnnie Walker Double Black. Others had wine which I don't care for. We sat on outside place where no one was near 10 feet of us.Although server came near us while serving.

I still wouldn't risk it, not worth it for a few ales. Hopefully in the spring.

If anyone needs some new wine glasses...
The Co-op here are currently selling boxes of four Ravenhead Mode wine glasses for just £3.75 (£13 on Amazon).
An absolute bargain price, your choice of glasses for red or white.
I assume it's a national offer in Co-ops 🤷♀️
