And you told me on the first page what songs I had written, as if that's a requirement to have an opinion on someone. I told you what songs you had written ? Whoa Nelly ! In actuality : I asked you what songs you had written. You added the "as if" in your read between the lines way.

I can't believe I am applauding to Heeeyyy's post. It's nice of you to encourage Heeey but … Two of her three statements were erroneous misinterpretations of what was actually posted by me. Possibly the third one was also BS … dunno … I didn't write about playing or writing. Did you write anything about the actual topic? I only ask because it's recently been brought to my attention that you've been adding nothing but personal attacks to every thread while offering no real substance to the actual subject (attemptong to be) discussed. Maybe it's the DBOTY. That tends to make people do that.

Yes, he worked with them in the studio. He said they were bad musicians. I don't recall specifics though. He heard them play and he probably heard what I heard. ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) I can't stop laughing. ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) Thanks for that. Never expected anything delightful like this from you.

That's a good place to end it for me. I'm tired of this crap. No. Please deliver the full quote because this would actually confirm what I always thought in my idiotic amateur mind. When you listened to their CDs (as I was forced to by my guitar teacher) they sound off, sort of out of tune. Something is wrong with the guitar. As far as their compositions are concerned, well, you can take it or leave it, I guess. The only album I liked by them was St. Peppar. I don't give fuck about the rest.

But she is certainly not a musical idiot. You wouldn't believe what a beautiful singing voice she has. And imagine, that comes from me.

When Quincy Jones was in charge of producing the Oscars, his first decision was to have Whoopi Goldberg host.
I'll take his ideas about other musicians with a grain of salt, thanks.

I don't know how to put it, but there is always this tin quality to their playing. It's also the guitars. You have six strings that you play on and they have to harmonize. And they did not. There was always an off, tin sound. It drove me crazy. I always thought I was imagining it or didn't have the ear to appreciate it (my mother is a musical genius and she liked that stuff). Maybe I wasn't wrong after all. Not to mention the crap that you get for criticizing them. JFC, they bore me.

In any case, and as I said before, I don't recall anyone praising them for their musicianship, although they did have their moments. ( While My Guitar Gently Weeps comes to mind, but for some reason, George is rarely the one being discussed.) In this respect, I've always thought of The Beatles like I think of KISS: Mediocre musicians playing great songs.

Maybe Nirvana had better producers or whatever, but that tin sound drove me nuts. The cacophony or the noise, the lack of harmony, the tin sound drove me nuts. I wasn't round. It was all a bad Kandinsky.

Admin as to your specific question about this thread ... I participated minimally in the thread … mostly just read it .. wrote a short note about my dad and his poetry .. . Discussion about Paul McC playing for free . Bit of chitchat with cine … Snarked at heeeey but didn't seem to me to be any more than anyone else's … watched some sparring between you and jill . .. got called to the principals office … As for the "it's been brought to my attention " … that is what I feel might be better discussed in private as you have apparently done with other posters to settle differences.
edit .. didn't mean t interrupt what seems to be back on topic .. tomorrow is another day and place.

You see, there are things called controls, and with them, you can change all kinds of things like volume, balance, treble, and bass. I was never big Nirvana fan, by the way, but I can appreciate the influence.

He may as well have said, "This might be better discussed in public as you have apparently done with other posters." That rings just as true. I just don't want Bat to turn into an insult troll. It's easy to get sucked into the shit, but if you forget your snorkel, you will soon find yourself becoming the shit.

And they sounded "disintegrated", that is the word that describes them well. Beatles then go on and disintegrate your brain with their awful playing. I can't stand it.
