Bong Joon Ho and Quentin Tarantino have supported each other's work, it's great to see.

Two of my more recent Bluray purchases are also the most recent Oscar winners. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Parasite.

Taika? Didn't see that coming. (I liked the movie, I just didn't think he would win.)

Cool! Parasite won for best screenplay.
and also
I like how they're describing the excerpts of each adapted screenplays in the nomination, especially the part with Joker for me.

The Neighbors' Window wins Best Live-Action Short. This was one of the more difficult ones to predict with both this and Brotherhood being frontrunners. I kinda expected Brotherhood, but I have no personal favorite in this as I haven't seen either of them (yet).

I was surprised to see Taika act so nervous when he was onstage. I'm glad to see he won, though.

This guy with his production partner's evoked the peach wars of South Carolina and Georgia. We know which side his bread is buttered.

The only short I ever watched form that list is Nafta Football Club. So I'm neutral about that category.

Once Upon a Time In Hollywood wins Production Design as expected. There are multiple deserving winners in that category and OUATIH is one of them, so I'm happy with it winning this. I would have personally voted for Parasite, but OUATIH's recreation of old Hollywood with its production design was also incredible.

It's kind of nice that the Academy is spreading the love to several different films.

The audience should win Best Supporting Actor for not cringing through that singing sketch.
