I knew Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was going to win Production Design and it was predictable that Little Women was going to win Costume Design.

Jacqueline Durran is a fantastic costume designer when it comes to period pieces.

I'm sure that sketch looked great on paper, but I won't be the first to say that it wasn't that great.

I'm rooting for Scarlett Johansson when Supporting Actress comes up soon.
If she can't win, I'd be delighted to see Laura Dern win on her third nomination. Loved her in Martha Coolidge's 'Rambling Rose' (1991) which was the first of them. Kathy Bates has an Oscar, Florence Pugh's relatively young, and Margot Robbie is the Queensland sexbomb so surely she'll be back.

American Factory wins Best Documentary. I was hoping for For Sama, which I thought was an important and heartbreakingly tragic look at the Syrian War. But I haven't seen American Factory yet, so I'm kinda neutral on the category.

Laura Dern wins Best Supporting Actress. I thought she was amazing in Marriage Story, so I'm happy she won.

Yep! I expected Learn how to Skateboard in the Warzone to win for Documentary short. American Factor for Best Documentary. Sure. I guess some expected Oscar baits and certain 'propaganda' flicks didn't get that one after all.

Laura Dern, member of David Lynch's stock company, part of a great Hollywood dynasty, indie film supporter and all around class act, I salute you for your talent and dedication across the years - this is well-deserved!!

What a nice and genuine speech. Often it feels like people just say 'oh and btw I thank my parents as well', but she really meant it.
