What are yours? I have to say I'm crazy about small toy breed dogs like Chihuahuas, Pomeranians, Pugs, Maltese etc.

1. Shelter Dogs.
2. Mixed breed dogs they always seem to be the healthiest. (at least the ones that I have owned).
3. Pure Breeds-
The one's that I have not owned that I really like are:
Scottish Terriers Elk-hounds Corkies

Also love: Pugs-great personalities. Dachsunds-very loyal American Eskimos-super smart and easy to train Huskies and malamutes-they look like wolves, and they are great working dogs! I have to say, I really have a soft spot for the small breeds too.

We grew up with a Collie, but I've always had a penchant for German Shepherds.

collies, Labradors, mutts because they don't have any particular breeding but they are usually just the best. I also like whatever breed Katy Perry's dog Nugget is. I'm sure what I like about that dog is probably just about a part of her natural personality. She just seems so intelligent in addition to being super cute. Does anyone know what kind of dog Nugget is?

I prefer smaller to mid-size dogs simply because I live in SoCal and homes with large yards are expensive. Plus, smaller dogs eat less.
I currently have a little miniature schnauzer. He's a very loving dog full of personality. He also never really sheds, which is awesome. But, man, he's very moody and stubborn. Great dog, but I doubt I'll ever get another mini schnauzer.
My last dog was a pug/pekingese. She was probably one of the best dogs I ever had.
I also love springer/cocker spaniels.

I've seen the Pug/Pekingnese mix before and its cute because both breeds have similar faces.

Which was probably easy for you to groom.
