It wasn't snubbed because it didn't deserve shit. People need to stop using the word "snub" for movies they personally wanted to get nominated but didn't. I loved the movie but it doesn't compare to any of the truly masterful films that came out this year, some of which that were truly snubbed. So were the people who protested TDK not getting nominated for Best Picture also wrong? This isn’t a statement on anything, I’m genuinely just wondering.

TDK is in a completely different league than WW. One is masterful and the other is a enjoyable CGI filled action movie. If there's to be a protest on anything, it should be that 'Blade Runner 2049' didn't get nominated for ANY category. And if any superhero deserves award recognition, it's 'Logan' which is a far better film than WW. |

I saw The Shape of Water today. I can see why all the nominations. I am *so* excited to see it. I was worried that it wouldn't get a wide release, but del Toro just tweeted that it's being released nationwide on the 22nd. Cannot wait, it looks superb. |
