As a character described as a femme fatale.
TEXT:
The Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel is due to start production by the end of May, with shooting reportedly taking place in Europe (the first film was mainly shot in Atlanta, with some exteriors in New York City). Leaked audition videos have suggested that the sequel will introduce a redesigned Gwen Stacy, as a foreign student whom Peter meets, but she may not be the only new female character to arrive on the scene.
Intriguingly, recent reports have suggested Marvel and Sony are looking to cast a mysterious βfemme fataleβ for the Homecoming sequel. Itβs important to note that these reports have so far been unconfirmed, but theyβve certainly caused a lot of speculation among fans. Who could this character be? Itβs time to look through some of the possibilities.

It's too early to meet Black Cat at this point...
...Maybe they're re-creating the White Rabbit as a serious villain?

Here's a choice I bet no one thought of yet what if its Angelica Jones/Firestar??? It would be a good way to introduce mutants and the X-Men though Firestar.

She's already had a role in the MCU as Darcy and if Sony wants to make a pocket universe that can manipulate people into thinking its set in the MCU proper they're not going to get somebody people will instantly recognize from an earlier movie.

How dare you refer to that crap as "Spider-Man 2". There is only one Spider-Man 2. Call it what it actually is.

Neither Robbie or Dennings are going to be considered for Black Cat in either SMH 2 or Silver and Black, Robbie is already playing a major comic book character for a rival company and Dennings was already in the MCU as Darcy in the first two Thor movies - Sony wants to create the impression their Venom and Silver Sable & Black Cat films are set in the larger MCU despite not being made by Marvel Studios proper. They don't want to risk this by casting a familiar face in another part and let's be honest while there have been actors who have played different roles in the same cinematic universe before they were/are on a very different level than Kat Dennings is in terms of character acting.

Oh boy, thenewnexus is arguing on the figures of comic book characters and how its so important for their portrayer to resemble them as much as possible. Totally ignoring the fact that a character's physical appearance in the medium is subject to change almost ALL the time due to the artist. And also ignoring that just because an actor or actress might LOOK similar to a character doesn't mean they are perfect for it. Case in point, Megan Fox looks like a lot of comic book characters but her range as an actress is very limited so she definitely would not be ideal for just any of them.

Femme fatale sounds like Mary Jane to me. I thought Zendaya was their version of Mary Jane in this continuity though? I'm sure it was an idea they thought of early on, but basically kept Zendaya's part small enough to spark some interest and see how people would react to the big "MJ" reveal towards the end. The reception to it doesn't seem universally loved so they'll probably just keep it at that as far as similarities between "Michelle" and "Mary Jane" go. But...It's as good as anybody's guess, really. Ned Leeds was more in line with Ganke, for example, and Flash wasn't exactly a jock type of jerk there either he was more a jerk in a smarmy, sarcastic, somewhat ego-driven sense.

Well that and actually, they're making a separate Black Cat/Silver Sable movie anyway.

Currently Brolin is both Thanos and Cable. Although I agree Dennings wouldnt be used and Robbie is probably too busy with DC and other projects.
