Historically, because of crusaders, slavery and missionaries.
Aside from that, because of how culture works. There's not a religion that they should buy into.

They practice the same way that people in every single nation on the planet practice it.
It's kind of silly to try to define an entire group regarding the things they do, kinda akin to asking why all white people are racist.

Well, yeah, we shouldn't think that they're all Christian or that they all practice Christianity in a particular way or anything like that, but re why some blacks are Christians, I think that the historical question is interesting. Because it's very doubtful that any blacks would have historically been Christians. But crusaders, slavery and missionaries either brought them into other cultures or brought other cultures to them and socially pressured them to adapt (at least publicly--people often publicly say stuff that they don't privately believe). So that's how Christianity spread to some blacks. It's basically the result of an ideological war, of social pressure to "believe my shit instead of the shit you were believing."

The historical evidence is that Christianity tends to thrive when a choice is given and especially if we are combining all Christian denominations. Even during the Inquisition when people were forced to pretend to be Christian, once the oppression was gone, people chose to stay with it. That's even more the case now that people do choose their faith. Christianity is the best option among the ones that are known about. Granted, some may not ever know about other religions such as Hinduism or Buddhism, but that isn't their problem, but the problem of those faiths not being interested in reaching out to them or having a message that's appealing enough to start the change. If we factor atheism into it as some kind of pseudo-ideology, that's even more the case. In short, Christianity is a great religion to belong to to a lot of people regardless of race.

That's not how culture, social interaction, etc. work.

That's not how culture, social interaction, etc. work. There's nothing in life that is an even playing field. Uneven playing fields is exactly how culture and social interaction work. You always have to persuade people to leave what they like and you usually have to be good at it unless you force them. If you want all religions to have an even playing field then it would require the religions to want that which most don;t. It's not the responsibility of the individual to leave what they know and like to search out other things they have no vested interest in liking. Besides, just because Islam & Christianity exists, there's no reason to even think they are equal given the differences in message.

That's only because the brainwashing and childhood indoctrination finally settled in after generations of forced participation. Some blacks realized this and that's why the Nation of Islam exists, a political/racial rejection of the "white oppressors" religion (Christianity) in favor of a more ancestoral religion (Islam). Most people don't really "choose" their religion, they typically follow which ever one they were born into and indoctrinated. It's why so many southern whites are baptist, Mexicans are Catholic, Indians are Hindu, Arabs are Muslim, and Jews are well, Jewish. It has nothing to do with "Gee this religion sounds pretty niffty, I'll go with that". It's why very few people change their religion after their early 20s or so. " Christianity is the best option among the ones that are known about." Is that why so many people are leaving it in massive droves?

Nobody asked “HOW do black people worship?”, and nobody asked “why are ALL black people Christians”. The question is WHY do black people (the ones who practice Christianity) do so when that is the religion slave masters forced on them to justify slavery?

Black people are also Muslim, Rastafarian, traditional African religions, such as Vodou, Santeria, etc., & even some are Jewish. There are even some that are atheists. In other words, just like everybody on the planet.

The question is WHY do black people (the ones who practice Christianity) do so when that is the religion slave masters forced on them to justify slavery? I'm guessing that a commonly found answer might be something like: "Christianity was misapplied in that way. We see its true message that all people are spiritually equal before God."

Note the Jewish Lemba tribe who have been DNA mapped back to Jerusalem. Oddly, the Ashkenazi in Israel reject their Judaism. I wonder why?

It takes skill that most people, whether parents or preachers, do not have. One thing no one has ever explained to me except by way of writing fiction how I became brainwashed. Heck they can;t even refute my beliefs so I can;t even figure out what I'm being brainwashed from. If a child grew up not liking their belief, they would not be practicing their beliefs. It takes no special mightiness to leave a religion to become non-religious or to switch religions.

It takes no special mightiness to leave a religion to become non-religious or to switch religions. "You are ascribing way too much on the ability to brainwash." If done at a very young age (starting around 5 or so) it's actually quite easy to brainwash people into almost anything. The human child brain is still developing it's "perception of reality", it's much more susceptible to notions of religion/philosophy/morality/politics/etc as opposed to later years. It's why so many people raised by racist parents, well grow up to be racist. The seeds have been implanted. Again, why do you think very few people change their religion after their early 20s or so? "Heck they can;t even refute my beliefs" That's the same thing a white supremacist would say. That's just a nonsense argument. "If a child grew up not liking their belief, they would not be practicing their beliefs." Some do, most don't. I'll already addressed this. "so I can;t even figure out what I'm being brainwashed from." That's essentially how brainwashing works, if you knew you were being brainwashed you wouldn't actually be "brainwashed" now would you? "It takes no special mightiness to leave a religion to become non-religious or to switch religions." And yet very people change religions after young adulthood. This has already been addressed.
