Traditional thinking. Storytelling basics do not change, the understanding of it does. Either it gets better or worse. In this case, not better!

They never get outdated-if they did, no one could read a book from 1000 years ago or watch a 50 year old movie. That's why something gets called a classic.

If that were true, all literature from back then would be called classics. In the large scheme of things, relatively FEW pieces of literature made it to the Modern Day to becoming classics because lots of stuff from back then simple was outdated.

Merit ultimately decides-which is why corporate Disney works are on such a bad foundation. Bankers and executives in a board room are not the best judges of social attitudes or good taste. In fact, quite the opposite.

What, like Fox and WB are any better? A little better. Tony Stark's banter gets tiring. Dial it down.

By that logic, Batman should tone down on those silly operatic monologues and WW should tone down on her "Love will save the world" stuff. You're asking for inherent parts of the characters to be removed.

Steve Rogers definitely belongs in a prison for being an accessory to murder after the fact, since he knowingly aided and abetted a double-murderer to flee from the law. The 'real critics' say Thor: The Dark World is better than Wonder Woman. Do these "real critics" partake in hard drugs as well?

A lot more than that. The "missile you only need to use once" was a good line, but the ad libs have gotten way out of hand.

You didn't see DC-Fan 's thread about 'real critics' aka 'Chinese Rotten Tomatoes' that rated Wonder Woman better than Black Panther then I showed that almost every MCU movie is rated better there than Wonder Woman? I knew it was locked but now it appears to be deleted dcfan must have gotten it deleted because he was so thoroughly embarrassed in it. What a baby 'Mod, please delete this thread I made to attack Black Panther, I embarrassed myself and everyone is making fun of meeee!'

Actually no, scratch that. I know why he became one, why did he stay one all the way through up Civil War? The guy has literally disagreed with everything the government/military has done in every movie after his first one so much so that by the time they reach Civil War he’s even questioning World War II: “Some would say it brought our country closer to war.” Of course it did – and rightly so! Didn’t he volunteer for World War II? Didn’t he volunteer to become a super soldier specifically to fight against the Nazis and Hitler? This isn’t some moral the gray area or military conflict. This is a god damn world war talking about. There is no more appropriate time to get involved then this particular situation. He disagrees with every single thing the US government has done in every one of these movies – even a no-brainer like this. You can see his point in other situations, but this one, there's just no defending this. Did the writers make a mistake and simply throw that in there just so that he would be disagreeing with Tony or is the character so paranoid at this point that he even questions his involvement in the most just war of all time? I might argue that makes him the BEST soldier.

So basically you think Cap belongs in Guantanamo Bay. I don't like you. You add no value to this conversation or the board. You never contribute to the topic at hand. I like to laugh, but your never serious and offers zero value to every thread that you choose to respond to. I don't like you either. And as far as I'm concerned your smug, pithy douchebag responses don't qualify as valuable contributions to anything ever, either. You lack a sense of humor and the wit to back up being such a dickhead. You also, evidently, don't know the difference between "your" and "you're" or subject/verb agreement. So let me "contribute" that to the "topic at hand" like so: you're a worthless incel, and I'm glad my posts piss you off. That's called getting worked. Mark.

Actually, that's a shot at Tony not the U.S.'s involvement in WWII. Those are his father's pens that signed a Bill that helped with the war. His son is giving them to Rogers to sign something that could lead them to war. Which the moment does. This? “Some would say it brought our country closer to war.” Watch the scene again. Tony talks about the pens being used to sign a bill. Steve replies that some say that it (referring to the bill) is what brought them closer to war. Also, becoming a soldier doesn't mean that you have to agree with everything your country does. Or every order that is given to you.

I give you credit though, at least you understood and properly answered the question. You addressed the issue I was inquiring about and didn't give me some mantra or one-liner about Cap "not liking bullies" yada, yada, yada... You comprehended and answered the question.
