Hopefully they go for an actual red head and not a blonde and dye her hair. Or worse, change her hair color completely. Yes. I am hoping they go with a red head for Kate Kane too and not change her hair colour 'cause her red hair is a very unique part of her look and she wouldn't look the same without it. I am hoping they also go with a red head for Batgirl in the movies too and not a blonde again 'cause Barbara's nick name is red from her having red hair and while I don't mind them changing the colour of some characters' hair there are certain characters shouldn't be changed and Barbara and Kate are two of them. Having Batwoman as a brunette for example would be like having Superman with blonde hair.

I loved gingers and I think we need more of them, not less. Batwoman's scarlet locks are a stunning part of her look. Barbara Gordon is a ginger, not a blonde. Ginger lovers unite!

So long as the porridge isn't too hot or too cold. Don't worry pal. It's not too hot or cold. It's chocolatey and messy. We're getting out the good stuff.

The Buffy, Riley and Spike love triangle. That brings back memories. There shouldn't have been any love triangles again after that one but they couldn't help themselves, could they? Those dipshits weren't happy until there were love triangles in every show and we were dashing through the snow on a 3 horse open sleigh. I don't want any love triangles in Batwoman. Nobody does. Get that through your skulls if you're reading this tv ding dongs. Who is playing Batwoman? It is still currently unknown who is going to be playing Batwoman but with the 'Arrowverse' shows all set to return in October and the big crossover event being in December I think we are going to find out in the coming months and they will most likely make a big announcement about it like they have for other actors and actresses who have joined these shows. I am hoping whoever they get is right for the role and they don't cast somebody who is completely wrong for the role of Batwoman 'cause whoever they hire is going to make or break the role. I don't think there will be any love triangles but we will just have to wait and see. I will post more updates as they appear online. They're going to have to speed things up if the show is in October. Shouldn't they be filming now or going over the scripts with the cast?

Most series, the actors only get one script at a time; and often within a short time frame before they actually begin shooting it (maybe a couple of days). Most of the time, I believe, shows will take a day and do a read through of a new script and spend the next 6-8 days on average filming it. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the lead time between shooting an episode and when it first goes to air is inside of two months. This may occasionally get pushed back for effects heavy episodes.
The writers may have begun working developing the next season, and started on the first handful of scripts, but it's usually a little bit longer process between the start of writing a script and it being filmed; with several drafts/rewrites occurring right up until the day it's in front of the camera, and even sometimes after that.
Another indicator for how their schedule breaks down is the fact that Melissa is doing her Broadway run until sometime in August, before returning to Supergirl.

Somebody sounds too eager. be patient. All good things come to she who waits. Though if you're waiting for anything good on the CW shows you'll be waiting until your dotage.

Yeah. I can only echo what cjdull76 and Stargazer1682 wrote but I think we will find out who is playing Batwoman soon and looking back on some of the other actors and actresses they have announced for these shows we found out a lot of them months before they appeared on TV so it is possible we will find out who is playing Batwoman soon unless they decide to keep it hidden up until the crossover airs but I don't think they will do that unless it is somebody big.

Damn. I hate when TV shows keep things hidden. They always turn out to be disappointing. They're not keepin' it hidden because it's something good folks. They're hidin' it because they know it's a pile of dogshit. A great big fucking sloppy turd out in the middle of the yard on a hot day with flies and frogs around it and no, it doesn't come with jelly or chocolate in a bowl for $5.95. What about that STC convention you said about where they make all the big announcements? Will they announce it there?

They might reveal anything 'til Comic Con or even closer to the start of the next season. I think it's because mystery build anticipation.

What about that STC convention you said about where they make all the big announcements? Will they announce it there? That is lovely. Thanks for the colourful description. I have to agree with cjdull76's comments again about "mystery building anticipation" and there is no doubt they are deliberately holding things off 'cause I believe they would have a pretty good idea of the actress they are going to use for the role at this point and they would probably already have people working on the costume they are going to use for Batwoman which I am hoping is like the comic book costume and not like the Huntress or Saturn Girl's costumes in 'Arrow' 'cause the Batwoman costume shouldn't be hard to have in live action. It is possible 'SDCC' will be the place where they will announce who is playing Batwoman but from what I am hearing the DC movies are going to be the main focus and there will be a lot of announcements about them.

While we don't know anything about Batwoman I think we can guess some thing by past history. She'll more likely the not be miscast, more likely with somebody with the wrong hair color. She will be severely underused and then not appear after this season as the actress will be committed elsewhere,

Since when was Batwoman ever small? She is meant to be around the same height as Batman and be muscular and if you look at some of the comic books where Batwoman is with the other heroes she is NOT small!! I hate how they cast small actresses without any muscle in the role of female superheroes when there are actresses out there who are far better suited for the roles. Also most likely the actress cast will belong to CW's reoccurring pool of talent that pop up in up to half a dozen of their programmes throughout the years, so Pheobe Tonkin just got killed off in The Originals so she could be up for the role...

What is the deal with all these puny sized actors playing superheroes? Are they that desperate for actors on the shows that they will just take anybody they can get or is this more of that strong women make weak little boys feel threatened shit? Send them to me for a few weeks and I'll put some muscle on them and teach them how to punch and kick. This is Batwoman is it not? She's not going to have superpowers so the girl should be able to pack a punch.

No point gewtting worked up over the stature thing tho as realistic looking accurate counterparts to comic characters is ridiculous enough to achieve with men who just need to bulk up, but women are meant to be super physically fit yet not be unattractive and also have tits the size of water melons, how realistic is this for a woman to achieve without some sort of plastic surgery? I mean how many world class female athletes do you see with a pair of natural bazooka's?
Also how likely is it to find an actress to fit this bill? not even in frame but just height, if she's meant to be close to Batman in height that means an actress of 6-1 or 2, and were not getting Batman so how do we judge this by? I mean Flash is meant to be under 6ft in the comics from some quick research but GG is 6'1, so if she's meant to be a few inches taller than Flash we need an actress over 6'3, which means she'll dwarf most of the cast in, or do we compare her to Supergirl who is meant to be like 5'5, but MB is 5'8 to keep a fair difference an actress would need to be like 6'4 maybe 6'5 which is even worse.
I personally don't care who they get size or looks wise but I would like an actress who can carry the role, just give us a good actress, for the love of bob plz.
I say we place bets on what part of the character wont be accurate, will it be height, body type, hair colour, relation to Batman, sexuality, general backstory, ethnicity, mental cognisance, nationality, religion, able bodied, dietary or political affiliant that they fuck up...my money is all of the above, you just wait "Batwoman" is going to be Keenan Thompson in drag pretending to be a autistic asexual Japanese born Jewish dwarf amputee fruitarian who identifies as a member of the communist party whose relation to Batman is he is Batmans mothers brother in laws sisters butlers second cousin twice removed nephews by adoption godson...im like 99% sure on that.

Yeah they always cast muscular men as superheroes but rarely do they do the same for women. Muscular women are hot and not something to be ashamed of!
