Let's be honest here. The people who are really upset about this and vehemently defending Gunn are only doing that because they like his politics and the marvel universe. If he was a Republican or involved with the DC universe, those very same people would be calling for his head. Why do you think so many celebrities stood up for him? Because that town leans left. Very true. Liberals always stick together. Just look at how the liberals banded together to try to smear Kavanaugh and prevent him from being confirmed for the Supreme Court, yet where were these same liberals when the reports surfaced about Bill Clinton raping women?

That being said, there's a good chance that all the DC fans on this board or pretending to be outraged by his comments would be defending him if he was one of their guys; just like they defend their crappy movies. Pretty sure people like Dave Bautista, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Michael Rooker stood up for Gunn because they know him personally, not because of his political beliefs.

Chris Pratt defended gunn and he's a conservative. And he’s not the only conservative-leaning individual who defended him either.

It's not a question of political leaning but of character and the lack thereof.
When I see someone making countless comments, videos and pics of pedophilic nature (such as blogging that cum-stained, shocked boys make him "EXTREMELY HAPPY") to a pedophilic crowd the LAST thing I ask myself is: Is that guy a conservative or a liberal.
Anyone who does that or spins it that way reveals more about his character (and lack thereof) than they intended.

Chris Pratt defended gunn and he's a conservative. No, Dave Bautista "defended" Gunn. Patton Oswalt defended him. Fede Alvarez defended him. Pratt openly stated he does not Support Gunn's comments in any way shape or form. Zoe Saldana simply said she's not commenting. The latter two might want him to direct the movie, but the in no way defended his comments. The first three people actually did with all of their "it's just a joke" bullshit. And let's get real here. One, two, or even a dozen people are the anomalies, not the norm. This issue is almost exclusively liberal/Marvel/friend of Gunn's versus conservative/DC. If Gunn was as critical about Obama, he would literally be collecting unemployment check right now, because nobody in Hollywood would be going to bat for him.

People don't have character.

Last I read, Pratt showed support for Gunn and was against the firing. Yes Pratt didn't support the tweets, but it was clear he didn't support the firing of his friend. And let's be honest neither the left or the right actually care about those tweets. If they did, why dig them out now? This is all bullshit. It's a fake moral crusade. Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman, James Woods and all of these other celebrities don't really give shit. It's just another excuse for them to spew their stupid politics. Because that's all this really comes down to it. It's all political bullshit, how do I know? Because it started with Gunn using his platform to make Anti-Trump tweets and like usual the alt-righters got fucking butt hurt like the little fucking bitches that they are. I don't believe for a second that any of them actually care about his tweets. I don't believe any of them care about pedophilia, especially the Hollywood crowd. I don't believe that this is a Marvel vs DC issue. You know what I do believe? This is just another bullshit campaign that both political parties used in hopes of getting votes from the sheep that still support the parties. No one really gives a fuck about James Gunn.

Virtually no one defended Gunn’s past comments. However, Pratt did sign an open letter calling for Gunn to be reinstated.

Tolerance, lol..... of rape jokes.
Pratt was one of the only people who actually publicly denounced Gunnn's comments. The rest just complained how "unfair" it was that he was fired. Oddly, they were all silent when Rosanne was fired. Where was their compassion then? Weird how that works.

Lol, this reminds me of the "Blood for Oil" slogan. This is just "Pedophilia for Raccoon Turds".
I wish Disney would rehire James Gunn before he can soil DC properties, his ilk does not belong there. The DC fandom seems very reserved too, the only ones cheering when Gunn's involvement with DC was announced were MCU fanboys.
In an ideal world Gunn would have to clean up the droppings in the Raptor's Darknet for the rest of his depraved life.

ABC seemingly regrets the firing of Roseanne "Black women look like from PotA" Barr over racist tweets and the pressure from the right-wing omega fandom?!? A new hope for James "Cum-stained boys make me EXTREMELY HAPPY" Gunn and the "Pedophilia for Raccoon Turds" fandom movement? (and also for horrified DC "Look who's cuming for dinner" fans) Explosive Stuff!!! Is the Mouse House on fire, will Bob Iger get fired for his blunders?

Bob Iger is supposedly going to run for president after he's done with Disney.
I can't imagine him being any worse than Trump at this point lol
