I called it. Now, the question is: Who will replace him and can he or she replicate James Gunn's style? Also, I'm curious how far did James go into developing the cosmic side of the MCU with Kevin Feige that was to start with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Gunn completed his draft for GOTG Vol. 3 But if MCU uses Gunn's script for GotG 3, then they'll be required by Writer's Guild to credit Gunn for the script. Does MCU really want to credit a pedophile for their script, especially since MCU fans stay through the credits to watch the post-credit scene? |

I say YES. ANd not only should James Gunn be fired, but also MCU Dictator Kevin Feige should also b e fired for hiring the scumbag in the 1st place. It's not like these were new tweets. These tweets were made years ago so Feige should've done a better job of vetting and should've been aware of what a scumbag Gunn was. Feige failed to do his job and hired a scumbag so Feige should be fired too.

He and the rest of Marvel/Disney hired Gunn based on his talents as writer/director, not how he handled his social media. Gunn has no known history of assault, harassment, or any other illegal activity, and he has never been known to create a hostile working environment in his professional career. The ugly attempts at humor he made back then were not brought into discussion till now, and as disgusting as they are it doesn't mean Gunn is a garbage human being, lots of other people have a similar brand of humor - Gunn's problem was that he shared it publicly and its come back to bite him hard. |

What a weirdo creep. I heard a few of those quotes earlier today and thought they must've been taken out of context or something... But, nope. What a sick freak. And he had the nerve to judge Star Wars fans? Screw him!
But I will also say that it's beyond ironic that conservative Trumpers were behind this when their beloved orange faced hero is the king of being an offensive asshole.

This story is fairly fresh. I'm going to wait and see if any further evidence is found against Gunn before I judge.
Let's face it though that was a pretty fucked up thing for Gunn to do. Then again that was 10 years ago; he's possibly changed now and he apologized but that's still pretty sick.
Who knows Disney may or may not try to bring him back unless further evidence is found against him.
