But again it goes back to the doctrines. What does the religion teach? No, it goes back to what Christians do in the name of Christianity, moron. I don't give a rat's ass about some mythical "pure" version of Christianity that only exists in your deranged mind. I care about what Christians do and say in the name of their religion. No snowflake it looks a hell of a lot more like you only care about what threatens to burst your deranged precious little secular liberal bubble.

If that's what you think verifiable, mainstream scholarship on the history of the Enlightenment is (because I've written nothing an educated person would find controversial), it wouldn't surprise me that you'd be so ignorant. Congrats.

I’ll leave you to wallow in your ignorance. Or you can read this short article and watch these videos and be informed by a much more fair, balanced and enlightening perspective. medium.com/@gore.burnelli/no-christian-europe-was-not-a-backwards-theocracy-that-we-should-constantly-mock-and-be-ashamed-of-e4ca5e588da3

I think the Iranian regime is deeply immoral on many levels and agree with a lot of what the quoted article says about it. So absolutely yes the Iranian government is bad. But...
What's the solution?
All the knuckle dragging right morons out there are happy to tell everyone how bad "those muslims" are, but what's the solution? Do you want to invade them? Bomb them? Encourage them to over-throw their own government? What? It's much, much easier to point out things that need to be changed than it is to come up with solutions that will actually work.
As you are saying all the liberals are idiots, I'm guessing you think you're much smarter than they are. So you probably have a solution to Iran that will stop them from be "bad muslims" and will turn them into a happy, peaceful country full of "good muslims" (like our ally Saudi Arabia which is beacon of virtue when it comes to women's rights and minority religions) and won't turn them into a quagmire of unrest and terrorism for the next X years like Afghanistan or Libya.
So don't keep it to yourself! Tell us what this solution is! Free us from a little bit our idiocy!

Well the author does touch on the first step that needs to be taken towards any peaceful solution can be brought about. “Finally, a short message to liberals might go: Dear Liberal, If you truly stand for values such as peace, social justice, liberty and freedoms, your apologetic view of radical Islam is in total contradiction with all of those values. Your view even hinders the efforts of many Muslims to make a peaceful reformation in Islam precisely to advance the those values. In addition, sadly, your view towards radical Islam actually contributes to the violence and the repression of millions of people -- women, children, slaves, and all those people whom you claim you want to protect. These are the true victims. They are subjugated, dehumanized, terrorized, tortured, raped and beaten on a daily basis by the practitioners of radical Islam and the religious laws of sharia, which are at the core of that fundamentalism. It is time to open your eyes and your minds and see what is staring at you.”

The solution centers around a trajectory that was working up until the 1960s and is unpopular on both the modern left and the modern right... - Pull out all military from these countries and completely cut off monetary aid to them. - Contain them in their countries and do not allow immigration from these places into Western countries. This was a successful program from the Siege of Vienna in 1683 until the 1960s immigration overhaul.

I’ll leave you to wallow in your ignorance. Or you can read this short article and watch these videos and be informed by a much more fair, balanced and enlightening perspective. I don't get my information from YouTube videos or blogs, unlike mindless, uneducated imbeciles like yourself. I get it from books about history written by respected scholars, books that I own that are sitting in my library.
Christians persecuted people who disagreed with them before the Enlightenment put a stop to it. This is an indisputable fact.
Science, democracy, and intellectual progress in the West did not happen until Christian domination was put in check by secular laws. This is also an indisputable fact.
Case closed.

And? Who do you think the "ruler" represented in the parable? God. And how all mankind will one day face his judgement. It has nothing to do with human governance if that’s what you’re suggesting.

Those videos do feature respected scholars but evasion noted.

Those videos do feature respected scholars but evasion noted. I'm pretty sure you watched maybe five seconds of a couple of them. I've read entire books on the history of the Enlightenment and the way Christian ideology stood in its way and persecuted scholars who wouldn't comply. You simply can't make the facts disappear.
