Since no one had started one and the games start tonight, I figured I would go ahead and start it. Discuss all the CFB games this week here. What’s everyone looking forward to this week? A lot of good games.
Tonight, Northwestern/Purdue should be good, and UCF opens up against Uconn, I will check both of those games out.

Bold prediction at the end of the year either Auburn or LSU will hire Lane Kiffin as their new Head Coach.
yes I am an Auburn fan. but Gus has an experienced Quarterback in Stidham. only question marks are our running game and o-line . anything short of 9/10 wins with an experienced quarterback is and should be grounds for termination
Kiffin isn't going to be at FAU forever eventually another Big Name school will hire him away again and if I had to bet it would be in the SEC and it would be at either Auburn or LSU. basically i'll be shocked if hes still at FAU for more than another year or 2 expect him gone for a better job by the end 2019 or 2020 . if not by the end of this year

Northwestern is far from the bottom of the Big 10 my friend, they won 10 games last year, and they return a strong team on both sides of the ball, they should finish second in the Big 10 West IMO, Fitzgerald has done a tremendous job in turning the Wildcats into a solid program. Purdue won a bowl last year as well, Brohm is a good coach and they will be competitive once again. I have a feeling UCF will destroy Uconn, Huskies look very weak this year. UCF will have a hard time running the table again IMO, with a new coach plus a challenging 3 week stretch in a couple of weeks where they play UNC, FAU and Pitt back to back to back, plus they play at Memphis and USF. A 16 team playoff would ruin CFB, I strongly disagree with you about it. Not only would it eliminate the bowls, something which makes CFB very unique and which I greatly enjoy, but it would make the regular season almost as meaningless as college basketball, a slew of 2 loss teams and even a few 3 loss teams would get in the playoff if it was expanded to 16 teams. The best thing about CFB is how every game matters and one loss can fuck up your season badly, a 16 team playoff would get rid of all that excitement and result in mediocre teams in the playoff and whoever got hot at the right time would win.

No kiddin'. How did they escape my mind? Were they in the Kia Plum Bowl in Hawaii against Nevada State? Here's the beauty of my system. You can still keep the Bowl Games as we come down to the 'Elite 8', 'Final 4', etc. Rose, Orange, Sugar, Peach, Cotton yadda yadda yadda. Everything today is about money. Corps would have to bid more $$$ of course to get their names on the ''Elite 8 so to speak'. Here's why I loooooveeee March Madness. What did we see this year? Finally - when hardly anybody thought it could be done - a #16 seed knock off a #1. How many years have we seen a #15 seed knock off a #2? Do these upsets mark the regular season college basketball slate 'meaningless'?. I don't know - if you're 'Elite' - why not prove your 'eliteness' and knock off who you should knock off and take care of business. Nothing like a Cinderella Story. I also like to see some of these Dud 12-0 teams every year who b*tch and moan get their fair share in a playoff system. Would they get annihilated? My guess is yes - but again - who expected #16 UMBC to knock off #1 Virginia in the NCAA March Madness Tourney this year. Think of the slate of games we can see - just off the top of my head: #1 Alabama vs. #16 Michigan State #2 Ohio State vs. #15 Oklahoma State #3 Clemson vs. #14 Washington #4 Florida State vs. #13 Georgia #5 LSU vs. #12 Miami #6 Oklahoma vs #11 Auburn #7 Michigan vs. #10 Stanford #8 Penn State vs. #9 University of Central Idaho - i.e. that small school that ran the slate that gets in. That to me is epic! From Turkey Day to Christmas - the most festive time of the year - imagine going Christmas shopping and stopping for lunch/beer at sports bars watching this? I'd have to take off for the entire month!

A 3 loss CFB team simply isn’t worthy of being in the championship race, with a 12 game schedule, you would have a couple of 9-3 teams in the race, meaning a team that lost 25% of their games could be the CFB champion, that’s a joke. I love how CFB is the one sport where every single game matters, you cannot take a game off or it will fuck up your season, and it should remain that way, it’s what makes CFB so unique.
UCF already up 14-0 on Uconn, Uconn looks like one of CFB’s worst teams, atrocious defense.

They should play a couple of Power 5 schools to go along with their conference schedule, if they played a quality schedule I would have no problem with them getting in the playoff. But last year the only Power 5 school UCF played before the Peach Bowl was a weak Maryland team.

Since when did the Big 10 start playing conference games the first week of the season? I think Ohio State plays Rutgers next week too, but my Hawks play 3 games before they start their conference schedule. I don't get it.

It really just depends on the season, but if a Power 5 team goes 11-1 and wins their Conference Title Game, then they have to be in contention for a playoff birth, unless of course you had undefeated conference champions in the other 4 Power 5 conferences.

I have a feeling UCF will destroy Uconn, Huskies look very weak this year. Nailed it. 56-10 right now.

Northwestern/Purdue has had a very exciting first half, lots of offense. 3 terrible picks from Sindelar have put Purdue in a hole, but a very good matchup.
