I loved seeing Jackie tonight during tonight's season finale of this show as well as Nicki and Jack at the family dinner table again. To me, the only person who was missing from that picture besides Linda of course is Joe Jr.
God bless you always!!!

I just watched "Irish Exits" and enjoyed it. The only part that strained credulity for me was the ex-convict who was stalking Baez was able to pay cash for a house after being in prison for twelve years. I don't think they explained what job he did prior to going to prison, but it must have been incredibly lucrative; I doubt that even a modest home in the New York area is cheap.

I loved seeing Jackie tonight during tonight's season finale of this show as well as Nicki and Jack at the family dinner table again. To me, the only person who was missing from that picture besides Linda of course is Joe Jr. God bless you always!!! Holly I just watched the season finale "Forgive Us Our Trespasses". I don't remember exactly when I started watching this show regularly, but I'm sure it was sometime after Jackie left. However, I definitely saw Dr. Walker's previous episode. I even noted that: The serial killer story in particular seemed rushed and unresolved. It wasn't made clear if he was truly insane or faking, or if he would go to prison or a mental institution. Maybe they'll bring more closure to this story in a future episode. So I was glad to see this plot line get the bulk of the screen time in this episode and finally be resolved. One aspect of the story that I felt did not get adequate time/explanation was the justification for Dr. Walker's release. The doctor who released him clearly knew that he had been a serial killer and was currently suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder (Multiple Personality Disorder). Yet, he felt confident enough to release him back into society - seriously?!? That strained credulity IMO. I second what Holly wrote about it being great to see "Nicki and Jack at the family dinner table again." I'm glad to see that this show has been renewed for another season. I don't know where the story is going now that Erin has called off her run for DA. Could one potential plot line be a Danny/Baez romance? I noticed a couple of times this season that the creators might be hinting in this direction. For example, at the end of "Irish Exits" Danny got Baez a lot of take out food and she asked him to stay for dinner, which he did. Likewise, when Danny was hugging Jackie, who was apparently single, Baez was watching him. When Danny got into Baez's car and told her that "he was right where he wanted to be", it seemed like he could be referring to more than his job. I guess we'll find out next season.

I read earlier today that actor Treat Williams was killed yesterday in a motorcycle accident. He of course gave us one of Frank's former partners on this show, Lenny Ross that is. His last episode was just a month ago and we learned that his character had been diagnosed with cancer and so I guess the big question is will another actor keep the character going or will the writers go ahead and write that he succumbed to the sickness during the summer when the next season begins?
God bless you and his family always!!!

Go here for disappointing but not surprising news concerning this show. God bless you always!!! Holly Thanks for sharing Holly. I had some difficulty with the link you provided, so I'm reproducing the text of the article below for the benefit of others. 'Blue Bloods' Fans Need to Sit Down to Hear This Devastating Update on Season 14 EpisodesWith news of the ongoing actors' and writers' strikes, it's no surprise that our favorite shows will be delayed. CBS shared their fall 2023 lineup, and the information about police drama Blue Bloods was telling. The Reagan family series has been confirmed to return for a remarkable 14th season (and some of the show's stars took pay cuts to ensure its future), but it will not be on the CBS fall schedule as planned. Rather, the network will air "classic" Blue Bloods episodes. In other words, reruns. CBS announced their full slate of programming, and, with no new shows to air, they've had to get creative to fill the time slots (including airing Paramount Network series Yellowstone on Sunday nights). But for Blue Bloods fans, Friday night is key. CBS will be airing game shows The Price is Right at Night, Let's Make a Deal and Raid the Cage, followed by "classic episodes" of Blue Bloods. The network did not explain what episodes from the show's 13 seasons it will be airing. Back in April, Donnie Wahlberg shared an emotional video from the final day of shooting season 13 and told fans they'd be back in July to resume filming. That was before the writers' strike began. Now, the show's return date is uncertain as filming cannot begin while the strikes continue. Stay tuned for updates on the return of Blue Bloods and other favorite shows. In the meantime, you can rewatch all 13 seasons on Paramount+.

Tonight's new episode was good. I am so glad that Darryl's daughter will only have to do a few months in jail. Jamie couldn't look better with his facial hair. I hope that his undercover work ends soon. In real life, what is the longest amount of time that a cop has ever been under cover? When Chief Nichols said to Eddie that it isn't their job to make sure that kids are disciplined, right then is when Eddie should've said to her that in some situations, sadly it can take a village which is where the cops are supposed to come in at least in my opinion. Apparently Chief Nichols doesn't seem to understand that cops are to be there for those who can't handle certain things on their own, like a rape victim for example. If she were to tell a person like that the word, "No." she would only be confirming a denture fitting as her next doctor appointment. God bless you always!!! Holly P.S. Go here to write to CBS about keeping the show going if you do not want it to end this fall.

Go here to write to CBS about keeping the show going if you do not want it to end this fall. I just finished the "Blue Bloods" season premiere Loyalty (TV Episode 2024). I am still in awe of how well the writers can juggle multiple plotlines and a large ensemble cast in a single 43 minute episode. Although Baez, Garrett, and Sid didn't have a lot of screen time, pretty much every other character had their moments to shine. I especially enjoyed Baker setting up a secret meeting that was a secret even to Frank, and Anthony scaring the shoplifting kid straight. Although it was good to see Jamie reunited with the family at Sunday dinner, part of me worried that this might lead to his cover with the human trafficking ring being blown. We'll have to see this has any negative repercussions down the line.

^^^ Another question that I have about undercover work is how many times can a cop go undercover before the whole area eventually knows what they are truly up to. Henry's cover was blown when he was trying to help catch the guy who was scamming Anthony's mom in season seven I believe it was. Eddie got close to having her cover be blown, but what saved her was the fact that the person apparently did not know that she was a cop.
God bless you always!!!

It was good to see Jackie and Joe Jr. again on tonight's show. When I saw the synopsis for S14.E2 ∙ Dropping Bombs, "Danny and Baez join forces with Danny's old partner when a serial killer reappears", I wondered if a mistake had been made. It seemed so similar to S13.E21 ∙ Forgive Us Our Trespassers, I wondered if the wrong synopsis was used. Needless to say, I was surprised to see the return of Dr. Walker, as I wrote in an earlier post: So I was glad to see this plot line get the bulk of the screen time in this episode and finally be resolved. I guess the writers didn't feel the story was resolved in prior episode. I was definitely getting The Silence of the Lambs (1991) vibes from the first scene with Dr. Walker and Danny in the interrogation room, "In order to get information, you have to give information." At first, Anna Grace Barlow, the actress who played the perp/rape victim, looked and sounded so much like Vanessa Ray, I wondered if some production trickery was used to cast Vanessa in a dual role. But in the later hospital scene it was clear that there were two actresses who strongly resemble each other. Anna Grace BarlowVanessa RayI liked the episode overall, but I thought the previous episode did a better job juggling the large cast and multiple plotlines. It seemed to me that the writers had bitten off a bit more than they could chew with "Dropping Bombs". I think the plots of "Eddie faces backlash when she tries to help a woman who accuses a sergeant of rape; Jamie clashes with his nephew", as well as the conflict between Frank and Mayor, were enough for one episode. Perhaps those three plots could have benefited from additional time, and the return of Dr. Walker would have been better saved for a later episode.

Tonight's show was good, but it was also sad because the passing of legendary actor Treat Williams is addressed with his giving us the character of Frank's former NYPD partner, Lenny Ross. I agree with your comments about S14.E3 ∙ Fear No Evil. I would add that, with only three plotlines instead of four, this episode was more successful than last week's show IMO. The plot of "Franks (sic) struggles with grief over his best friend's death. He attempts to aid the friend's jailed daughter, Tess Ross" provided good character moments for both Abigail Baker (Abigail Hawk) and Henry Reagan (Len Cariou). The plot of "Meanwhile, Jaime and nephew Joe hurry to reunite a trafficking survivor with family" was also well handled. I thought Jamie and Joe worked well together. Although I did feel that Jamie was overly harsh by telling Joe at the end, "Apologize all you want, from what I've seen you'll never change." Jamie could have at least given Joe the benefit of the doubt after their successful collaboration. The third plot of Danny and Bugs taking down the Ace Double Treys was also good, but it was a little unclear to me. It sounded like Bugs had stolen $50,000 from the gang so he could leave New York and start a new life somewhere else, and Danny was just going to look the other way.
