Tonight's show was good, and it was cool to see Jamie give the car to Joe Jr.
God bless you always!!!

P.S. To me, Eddie and Jamie should've adopted that girl.

We’ve caught up with and cleared off all the shows from previous, so at least I’m hoping to be able to watch this final season within a week of their air dates. We’ll see.
Life Sentence Frank’s story – I really like Stacy Keach. He’s a terrific actor, and plays the Archbishop really well. This week, he brings Frank a confessed killer to arrest, but wants him to ensure he won’t be extradited to Ohio and face a possible death penalty. They go back and forth on this, at one point having Archbishop Kearnes declaring they are no longer friends. He does apologize for all of that later on, and Frank does make a deal so that the man will get life instead of death. It’s annoying to me that he had to call in favors to do that for someone he doesn’t even know. Since the man in question was willing to co-operate in the Ohio case, they probably would have taken the death penalty off the table anyway. So, the story didn’t impress me all that much. Erin’s story – very dramatic with her facing possible disbarment. I loved how Jack swooped in to help save her. I like the two of them as a couple and I’d like to see them get remarried before the series ends. Don’t know why they brought in Debi Mazar for such a thankless role – talking tough, but being rather easily proved wrong. Erin makes the comment that Debi has no integrity, but later says she was just doing her job. Which is it? And, would Carlos Ramirez really have left the juror video evidence that he was blackmailing her?
Danny’s story – he and Baez investigates the murder of a young mother whose traumatized daughter Ameilia may have witnessed it. They find the killer is Amelia’s father – the same Victor Ramirez that Erin was trying - and he kidnaps Amelia from her grandmother. They are able to rescue Amelia, but sadly, sleazebag Victor gets away by helicopter at the end. I did like how Baez’s knowledge of Spanish helped save Amelia; she clearly shouted in Spanish for her to get away from Victor and she did.
Eddie’s story – Eddie takes care of Amelia until they find her grandmother. At the end, she realizes she really wants to be a mother and Jamie agrees with her.
Jamie’s story – Jamie’s car – which belonged to his brother Joe – is stolen from him. He teams up with Joe Hill to successfully find it. Then he gives the car to Joe. That was a beautiful moment that almost had me in tears. That was especially welcome after last season’s episode where the two resorted to fisticuffs.
The dinner was nice, though does everyone have to be so mean to Jack? Irish Alzheimer’s, as Frank says.
Mixed episode overall, but still good. I will really miss this show when it’s gone.

Tonight's show was good! The closing scene reminded me of an earlier episode where it was said that even when all of the right things are done, things can still go badly. Lt. Cooper still could've ended up in hot water later on if he had been arrested due to what was already on his plate. The stress of having a terminally ill wife never would've gone away and so anything could've happened with him still even if he had gone to jail.
I couldn't help but smile at the last thing that Erin said to her lady boss. My only question is if the middle finger was being used at all during their situation, who's hand was it on?
I love how Jamie's matter ended too. Those three guys who stood with him, what made them think that they weren't being studied by certain members of their family?
The dinner scene only reminded me of the song named "Bring My Flowers Now" from country lady legend Tanya Tucker.
God bless you and Miss T always!

I watched ^this, the first new episode, tonight. I'm happy this show is back, too bad it's not going to last long. Since I couldn't fast forward, I saw a commercial for NCIS: Origins (TV Series 2024– ). It makes me wonder if any of the potential Blue Bloods' "Franchise Extensions" are going to be prequels.

Tonight's show was good, but sad due to the way that things went for the case that Danny and Detective Baez were focused on. The big question is, what ends up happening to that man? I am glad that Eddie's situation ended in a good way. The girl who was in the hospital bed, I remember her dad from episode ten of season four. The only thing is that he has a different name this time. He looked much better during tonight's show, but of course, it is because he wasn't walking around with a busted nose this time. The situation concerning Henry and Erin was funny, but in my opinion, it makes both him and Frank look bad. To me, it sounds like the man on trial should've been removed from the NYPD photograph a long time ago. Is Lori Loughlin going to be in the next episode? I think that I saw her when the preview was shown. If that was her, will she be the same character that she was in the season seven opener? Her character name then was Grace Edwards.
God bless you and Lori always!!!

Holly (a fan of her since 1991) I watched S14.E12 ∙ "Without Fear or Favor" today. I agree the scene between Erin and her boss, as well as the dinner scene where they did Henry's wake while he was still alive, were highlights

Tonight's show was great, but it would've made sense to me if Danny had accepted that award. With Linda being gone now, why not take whatever he can still get his hands on? Was she the reason why the medal of valor was not important to him in season five?
God bless you always!

The situation concerning Henry and Erin was funny, but in my opinion, it makes both him and Frank look bad. To me, it sounds like the man on trial should've been removed from the NYPD photograph a long time ago. I just watched S14.E13, "Bad to Worse". I agree that Danny and Baez's case ended on a sad note, as Grady Simms was clearly unable to take care of himself. The episode's title was very appropriate description of this situation. I also enjoyed the Henry and Erin story. In particular, I thought Steven R. Schirripa made the most of the brief scene between Anthony and Henry in the diner. But I agree that the character of Don Mathers should have been fired from the force long ago. Finally, I wish the final scene between the Mayor Chase and the NYFD Chief Veronica Radley after Frank left had not ended so quickly and ambiguously. I'm sure we're meant to think that they took Frank's words to heart and apologized to each other, and Radley got to keep her job. Still, I would have liked to have seen more. That's sometime a problem when they cram four different plotlines into one episode, one or more of them is not fully developed.

“Without Fear or Favor” (10/25) Watched this over a week ago, but never got around to posting…
Frank’s story – the most powerful piece of the episode. Frank and the mayor try to do the right thing regarding a former cop, and it leads to semi-tragic consequences. (I say that because the ex-cop is still alive at the end; he could recover. If they don’t mention in a later episode that he died, I will assume that he did recover.) What I liked was that all through it, Frank and the mayor were respectful of each other. Mayor Chase admitted using his influence right away and argued why. The two men stated their views and reasoning honestly and no insults were exchanged. Each man took responsibility for his actions at the end as well. The episode makes me like Mayor Chase a lot.
Erin’s story – DA Crawford reappears to force Erin to indict a cop for a mistake that resulted in the accidental death of a perp. Anthony really rallies to the cop’s defense and locates the missing knife the perp was holding, even getting to say “I told you so.” Erin presents the evidence in the cop’s favor and he is not indicted. Crawford protests, but Erin tells her, “You asked me to put my thumb on the scale, I just put it on the other side.” (not exact quote, but best I can remember.) Another sold performance by Roslyn Ruff, and delighted to see Diego Klattenhoff – formerly of THE BLACKLIST – as the good cop.
Danny’s story – Danny gets an assist from a British cop – Jake Weber, formerly of MEDIUM, and allowed to use his real British accent here. Barbs exchanges between the two, but ultimately respect between them. Ending of the story was a little over-the-top though.
At the dinner table, Henry asks the family to tell the stories they would tell at his wake. Reminded me of when I once had the privilege of attending someone’s 100th birthday party. That was a chance to reflect on her life and listen to stories about her – including some from the birthday lady herself. I remembered thinking it was the closest thing a person would have to being able to attend their own funeral. Henry was looking for something similar here. Cute.
That’s all I remember. Good episode overall.

Bad to Worse (11/1)
Danny and Baez – Really oddball case here. Body found in abandoned storage locker. Owner is mentally disturbed, but in a non-violent way. Other bodies turn up in other lockers, but the DNA matches his mother. She killed them because they complained about her son’s behavior. Final scene with the man-child begging to see his mother was really heart-wrenching to watch.
Frank – This time Frank tries to de-escalate a feud between the mayor and the Fire Chief played by Mira Sorvino. Some bad behavior on both sides, but Mayor Chase not attending the funeral of a fallen firefighter was a huge mistake! Looks like Frank does succeed in the end; we’re not really sure. But I doubt they’d bring in Mira Sorvino for just a single episode.
Erin and Henry – I rather suspected the case would turn out as it did – with Henry testifying against the defense. But it was all rather ludicrous. No defense attorney would have put Henry on the stand without being sure first that he was going to give testimony helpful to the defense.
Eddie and Badillo – They arrest a climate protestor, only to have him released by a retired cop pretending he was still active. He needed the protestor out of jail so he could donate his kidney to his daughter, who is also his girlfriend. (Seems he could have gone through proper channels and I’m sure they would have released him.) I do like how Badillo used reverse psychology on the guy to get him to change his mind about not donating his kidney. He also shows a lot of respect for Eddie at the end. The retired cop and protester may face charges later on, but the daughter is fine and that’s what matters. And no judge or jury would throw the book at either of them.
Offbeat episode, but still enjoyable.

Tonight's show was so good! Eddie's last scene couldn't have been better, and I thought for that one second that Danny had gotten shot and then what happened just seconds later couldn't have been more awesome! God bless you always!!! Holly P.S. Sid was able to keep his job, right?

Was she the reason why the medal of valor was not important to him in season five? I've now seen S14.E14 "New York Minute". Danny explained his motivation in the scene at Joe's favorite bar. He's considers his job it's own reward, and he didn't want Joe to have to "share the spotlight" with him.

“New York Minute” (11/8)
Good to see Rachel Witten again and follow up on her story. Very dramatic scene with Jimmy holding his sister over the fire escape; extremely well done. Glad to see at the end she neither lost nor quit her social worker’s job (though she needed a little persuasion on the latter.)
The murder of the art dealer story was ok. No big surprises or anything. You had to figure it was the wife or the son, and the son seemed too young to do it so……
Most of the story was about Frank trying to persuade Grace Edwards to restore an Irish Award nomination for Danny that was proposed then rescinded. Just led to a lot of needless bickering among the family, with Henry actually believing the award was cursed. I would have been fine with leaving it where Frank apologized to Grace for interfering and letting the non-award stand as it was. But then she offers it to Danny after all. Danny turns it down anyway for the classy reason that he wants it just to be Joe’s award, who received it earlier just before his death. That worked out well.

My Parents love the show. So they are kinda bummed. I've watched it a few times in passing. Hopefully the Cast and Crew find other projects.

Even some of the recurring roles like Stephanie Kurtzuba and Rosalyn Ruff are excellent. I will miss the show very much, but I hope to see the cast in other shows as well.

Tonight's show was good. The interesting thing is that the actor who portrayed the guy that gets help from Erin was in the season five episode named Forgive and Forget. God bless you and him and the rest of the cast always!!! Holly P.S. Next Friday at 9 PM EST, a special about the show and its fourteen years on the air will be shown.
