Last night's show was good and I am glad that what was acknowledged was finally addressed because it is something that I have noticed at one point or another concerning the frame of mind that Frank and Sid have had ever since they left the mean streets of New York. I can still hear what Frank said to Henry during the season five episode when Jamie was threatened by the crazy other half of a woman who was scared to get help from Jamie at the beginning of the episode. Frank said to Henry, "I can't do the things that you did back in the day, nor do I want to." What Frank seemed to finally remember last night is that some things have to be done because if they aren't done, innocent people are then who get the punishments when they do nothing to deserve such an occurrence. God bless you always!!! Holly P.S. I hope that all of the filming for the current season of this show was done before TV productions were to be shut down. Blue Bloods being absent from this list here gives me the impression that all of the filming was already in the can.

Last night I watched the March 13th episode again because I missed some of it when it was first shown and to me, Danny should've talked about losing Joe to the boy who was vandalizing the cop vehicles.
God bless you always!!!

I cried during last night's show when Danny was talking about forgiveness during the dinner scene. To me, its the forgetting that can not be done. People like that woman who was busted by Jamie and Eddie, people like her are the reason why forgetting is impossible. All that they do is make another person's living nightmare even worse.
God bless you always!!!

P.S. According to the shown preview for next Friday's episode, it is going to be the season finale when its only the season's 19th episode while the seasons normally go as long as 22 episodes. With it being labeled a "season finale" instead of a "series finale", does this mean that the show is going to be back in the fall?

Likely there were only 19 episodes due to the Corona virus outbreak happening before the final 3 shows were shot. CBS had not yet announced whether the show has been renewed or not (same for several other of their series). In general they always say "season finale" if the show has not yet been officially cancelled, even if it is likely to be cancelled. I think the show has had good enough ratings to be renewed, but that they are not sure whether Tom Selleck would be willing to sign on for another season - and I don't think they would want to do it without him.

^^^ There is a chance that what we are getting is all that was filmed because Blue Bloods is not on this list here of shows that were shut down due to the sickness issue. With Blue Bloods not being on that list, it only gives me the impression that all of the filming was done before production of shows were to come to a stop. God bless you always!!! Holly

To me, the season finale of this show was awesome even though I wanted to smack the crack out of so many of its female characters, Erin included like always for being the hypocrite that she was towards Anthony concerning the subject of doing favors for family members. At the end of the day, how much of a good difference has she made in the lives of her family members? The girl who got pregnant by Joe in my opinion, needed her hair pulled out for keeping him and the other Regan family members in the dark about Joe Jr. especially when Joe Jr. would only have about 13 years with his dad. I hope that we get to see more of Joe Jr. Because of how much time has already been lost, a seat for him at the Sunday family meals should always be there for him. When Danny and Detective Baez stopped Geo's brother at the end of the show, I am glad that the show history was remembered though the mention of Detective Baez's brother. I'll never forget when Javi took the bullet(s) for her in the season five opener. The girl who didn't take her baby to an actual person at the precinct, can she be busted for the way that her baby was left behind because if she can, she should be. When Eddie said that the baby had hypothermia, it would've taken all that I have in me not to slap the girl if I had been in Eddie's position. To me, Nikki and Jack should've been present for this episode since a new Regan family member was going to be introduced. Speaking of new Regan family members, should this show be back in the fall, will we be getting news that another Regan family member is coming thanks to Eddie and Jamie?
God bless you always!!!

Tonight's season eleven opener was good, but to me, if Eddie doesn't see the change that she believes should take place in her dad, how much does she actually owe the guy?
God bless you always!!!

P.S. I wonder what Erin's final words to Joe were?

Some thoughts on S11E01 - "Triumph over Trauma"
I always watch the theme on the premiere episode to see if any new names were added to the cast. Nope. In fact, one name was removed - Sami Gayle. So I guess she won't be coming back, except for an occasional guest appearance. If it were up to me, I'd have added Marisa Ramirez and Vanessa Ray to the opening credits by now, but I'm not the one in charge.
Hands down, the best story of the night was Jenko helping Anita Samson locate her father's body. The scene was she was almost arrested was great; Jenko gently telling her she'd find out what happened if she left immediately. Anita agrees, but says she'll be back tomorrow if he isn't located. I was impressed enough with the woman who played Anita to look up her name and see what else she'd been in. Her name is Shenyse LeAnna Harris and amazingly this was her first recorded role. I venture to guess it will not be her last; she did an outstanding job. That was a beautiful ending finding that her father's Potter's Field gravesite was a place he would have liked to be buried, and I loved the sports prayer Anita said at the end.
I honestly don't like Whoopie Goldberg anymore after some of the vile things she has said on THE VIEW. Nevertheless, I suppose it was appropriate to have her there playing Regina, the character spewing out all the hate for the cops. It was great to see Frank standing up for the men in blue after listening to all the crap they get from the press and the political activists. (Regina: "Your people need to stand down. Frank: My people are paid to always stand up.)(Regina: Your cops screw up! Frank: "And I have a well-documented history of firing the ones who do.") [I'm paraphrasing from notes I scribbled as I watched.] Garrett's PS to the Commissioner's potential letter of resignation was also well done.
I'm not a fan of the serial killer plotline. I think it's way overused. The minute they found the body with the plastic bag over the head, I was guessing "serial killer." And of course, he's still on the loose. On the positive side, the storyline of the trapped Danny and Baez was a chance for her to shine. Usually she's only highlighted when something goes wrong in her family. This had some emotional moments and we learned more about her as a character. Having her come to the Reagan family dinner made for a wonderful tag.
More thoughts tomorrow.

I don't know, I suspect Danny bringing Baez to dinner is a foreshadowing of Baez becoming the newest Mrs. Reagan, as for the Joe Hill plot line, time will tell if he's Lennie Briscoe or Cousin Oliver, interesting that they chose to name the character after a martyred labor leader.
I would have preferred more insight into Frank's thinking about resigning, the way it played out he looked petulant and impulsive.
I wonder if this show has run it's course and is jumping the shark

^^^ I don't have anything against Detective Baez other than what she just said to Danny about the way that he is with Erin, but in my opinion, she and Danny getting together would be nothing but a complete and total slap in face to Linda's memory as if all that they did was wait for her to die in order for them to finally get together. To me, Danny should hook up with the nurse that he saved in season eight if she is still available. Going with her would make sense considering the fact that she is a nurse just like Linda was. Him getting together with another cop would only be what has already been done through Jamie and Eddie.
God bless you always!!!
Holly
P.S. Yeah, when detective Baez said what she said about Danny and Erin, I wanted to get right up in her face and say, "Hey, have you forgotten about who is no longer in his life? His mother, one of his brothers, and his wife! If he has something bad to say to Erin, why not get on to her for once and ask her what her issue with Danny is because everything that he says to her is only what she deserves in return for being the word that I can't say that she truly is towards him!"

I'm not a big fan of the Joe Hill storyline. I understand wanting to have a new character and an association with Joe, but him having an illegitimate child makes me think less of him (granted, he did not know about the child). But I'm willing to give the character a chance. He fit in nicely to the plot this week, and I wonder how long it will be before he goes to a Reagan family dinner. It's nice that they already have invited him.
I was glad Danny was found by good old-fashioned detective work by Jamie, rather than some lucky hunch or the killer being outwitted by some last-minute Danny ploy. Jamie has always been my favorite character.
I'm with Holly on the Danny and Baez marriage idea - I think it would be a bad one. I wanted to see him with Callie Thorne, the psychic lady, mainly because I've liked her in other shows. But he doesn't really seem interested in her. We'll see what develops.

A Danny Baez romance would be shark jumping bad idea, but that doesn't mean the producers won't do it, Joe Hill has already attended a family dinner, at the end of last season.
Erin is only doing her job, if the police screw up, evidence is excluded. or sometimes cases are dismissed, and criminals walk free, she is also a safeguard to ensure innocent people are not convicted.

Last night's show was good although the ending didn't surprise me. The only reason why it doesn't bother me is because of Joe Jr.'s mother. I wanted to slap her when she said to Frank, "Y'all are not his family." If them words are true, its because of her decision to keep Jr.'s existence from Joe and the other Reagan family members. If Sean had not found him, no one in that family would have ever learned about him being out there. I loved watching Erin get passed over at work. To me, its what she gets for being so awful to her family. A few questions that I have are have we seen the last of Nikki and is her absence the reason why Joe Jr. has been written into the show? Also what is supposed to happen to the guy who did the shooting of the little girl's dad at the beginning of the show? To me, he should still get some kind of sentence for being the murderer.
God bless you always!!!

I watched the first two episodes of the new season. I like that cousin Joe is getting involved in the plot. I find it a bit weird that the pandemic doesn't seem to exist in the "Blue Bloods" universe. I know that in real life, COVID-19 forced them to shut down production of Season 10 after only 19 episodes (instead of the usual 22), and according to Deadline, Season 11 will only have 16 episodes due to COVID-19.

^^^ I get what you are saying about the masks, but do keep in mind that criminals are not going to care about wearing them considering how careless they are already more than willing to be guilty of. My question is, how are things supposed to go with cops where having on a mask is concerned?

Holly I saw a commercial for "All Rise" (another CBS show, but one I don't watch) where mask wearing was shown, so the various CBS shows are approaching the pandemic differently in their storytelling. I'm not saying Blue Bloods is making a mistake with their approach, it's just weird to be watching an alternate reality where the pandemic doesn't seem to exist.

By being "so awful to her Family" do you mean obeying the law and ensuring criminals go to prison?
Because that's what she does
