I'm not really seeing the cheesy aspect of it. I really like the acting and the writing.

I watch the show and I like it very much. There a re few things on the show that bother the heck out of me but that is a discussion for another thread maybe. BTW. I think the entire "Arrowverse" should have it's own section in the popular series and fan favorites area of this board. I suggested that to the Admins shortly after I registered for these boards. They agreed at the time, but I haven't seen the new section yet.

"these CW shows are EXTREMELY cheesy. It can be hard to watch sometimes because the writing and acting is so cringe worthy." Uh.... they're superhero shows so they're supposed to be cheesy. As for the acting being cringe worthy, that's very debatable. Some actors and actresses from those shows have delivered some really good performances in certain episodes. Of course, none that it is even half as good as Viola Davis, Vera Farmiga's, Freddie Smith's, Tatiana Maslany's, Jessica Lange's or Sarah Paulson's, but still quite good. It is EXTREMELY cheesy. Really no debate there. These CW shows are like soaps most of the time. Everyone can become a super hero no matter what. This is especially terrible in Arrow where everyone in the city knows Oliver is Green Arrow and every fried he has ever had is no a super hero. The acting is always mostly terrible. There has never really been a standout. Look at shows like Jessica Jones and Daredevil on Netflix. Sure, they have their faults too, but are taken much more seriously than these CW shows. The acting and the writing is FAR better.

They do have a certain amount of cheesiness but that's normal be since they are superhero shows. Not everyone in those shows can become a superhero no matter what. And while a lot of people know Oliver is Green Arrow, most of the citizens of Starlight City don't know his actual identity. And the acting is most certainly not always mostly terrible. Once again, that's only your perception. And there has been a few stand outs. As for the similar shows on Netflix being taken "much more" seriously, that is largely debatable. Same thing goes for the acting and writing supposedly being "FAR" better.

Daredevil especially is far better acted and written than any CW show. That is a fact. Sure, some people think a movie like Suicide Squad is better than The Godfather, but it is a fact that the Godfather is a far better movie technically. It has better acting and writing, even if you do not prefer it. Some people think Nirvana is better than Dream Theater. Fair enough. You might enjoy their music more, but Jon Petrucci blows Kurt Cobain away on guitar regardless. The CW shows ARE cheesy. Seriously. Arrow is downright unwatchable now it has gotten so cheesy.

I have not proved anything since you never really had a point. Also, I'm quite far from being a teenager so stop being so desperate. You're just grasping at straws. There is indeed a debate here. Daredevil supposedly being "far" better acted and written than any CW show is not a fact but only your own personal opinion. It is NOT a fact at all. Your other 2 comparisons (Suicide Squad vs The Godfather, and Nirvana vs Dream Theater) are simply pathetic, ridiculous, absurd, way off base and highly irrelevant. All superhero shows have a degree of cheesiness, kiddo. Which part of that do you not understand. And just because YOU think Arrow is "downright unwatchable" now does not mean that it's a fact or that anyone agrees with you. In the end, it's a matter of personal preferences, tastes and choices.

The majority of viewers for Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and other CW shows are actually grown adults. Stop being so obsessive with your hatred for the CW shows and learn to accept the fact that people are allowed to have different tastes than yours and to enjoy shows that you don't. To put it simply, to each their own.

I just got done watching Narcos season 3 and then started watching Super Girl from where I left off. There is a STARK difference in quality, no matter what you prefer.

The alleged "STARK" difference in quality with other shows is not a fact but a matter of personal preferences and of personal perception. Just because YOU perceive something as being better than something else does not mean that it is. You're entitled to your opinion but your opinion is just that: an opinion. It's not a fact.

Yes. I watch it. It is nothing like the majority of Supergirl (Kara Zor-El and Linda Danvers) comic books which I am a big fan of and had Supergirl as an edgy and aggressive character whereas Kara is more like a female version of Clark Kent in this show but I still watch it and I am looking forward to FINALLY getting a big 'Supergirl' villain (Reign) in the show and seeing Power Girl and the Legion which have both been talked about for Season 3. I love the show because it reminds me of the comics I read in the 60s. It is so positive & so cool. You mean the 1969-1972 Adventure Comics run or the solo 'Supergirl comic books between 1972-1974? I own them and I don't think the show is anything like them either but I am happy you enjoy it. My problem with the current 'Supergirl' TV show is it seems to be too much like Superman from Kara wearing glasses instead of a wig, Kara's geeky Clark Kent like personality, her working as a journalist, her supporting characters, the overuse of Superman villains when there are literally thousands of Supergirl villains to use and the very scene at the end of the first episode between Supergirl and Maxwell Lord which felt like a direct ripoff of the scene between Superman and Lex Luthor at the end of the first episode of 'Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman." The lack of the Horror characters which were even in those runs I mentioned above is also disappointing 'cause the Supergirl comic books have long had Horror type characters which is why the Linda Danvers series by Peter David fit right in when it went full on Horror in some issues.
I feel the writers wanted to make a 'Superman' TV show but Warner Bros wouldn't allow them so they made a 'Superman' show with 'Supergirl' instead. I also don't think they read any Supergirl comic books before they created the show much like the writers of the awful adaption of 'Birds of Prey' who admitted to it after the show was cancelled which is why we only have characters like Reign, Power Girl and the Legion turning up this season. I personally liked Laura Vandervoort's version more. It was much more like the comic book version and even had her win the Ms Sweet Corn Pageant and working as a model like she did in a number of the comic books and it was a shame the spin off from 'Smallville' never happened 'cause they lead Laura to believe it would and she has said in interviews she gave up leading roles for other shows while she was waiting for it to be made.

Hey. I noticed that and it was definitely deliberately put in there by the writers 'cause of Calista being married to Harrison Ford. I wonder if they could get him to appear in the show. I am a fan of Cat Grant and Calista in particular too and was wondering if you have ever seen 'Ally McBeal' and 'Brothers and Sisters?' If not you should check both of them out.
That would be awesome of they could get him as a guest star. Do you think Calista will be in it full time this coming season? No. I sadly don't think she is going to return full time but from what I have been reading it does sound like she is going to appear in more episodes than she did last season so we should see Cat more.

You want to get the last word in? Get over it and stop being so obsessive, rude & annoying. People can still have taste and not share your opinion. Stop being so self-centered. People are allowed to disagree with you and to have different tastes and preferences than yours. What's truly hilarious is your obsession with this subject and your inability to comprehend that everyone is entitled to their own preferences and your inability to comprehend that your opinions are not facts. Get some psychiatric help, you seriously need it. P.S. It's only an avatar picture so your pathetic attempt at an attack is vain, futile, useless & ineffective. Grow up a little, kiddo.

Maybe the 69? But I swear earlier... Didn't she run as backup? I remember stories involving her when I was reading Spectre in the 66-68 timeframe. I remember Legion. My sister liked Duplicate Girl who had been Triplicate Girl. This puts it in the 1966 frame Hard to say on horror stuff. Marvel's just barely embraced magic. They've been doing Thor as science, but there is magic there as I believe we'll see in Ragnarok. Thor mentioning Earth having magic now is like "now I can use magic" So horror villains in Supergirl likely falls in there for now. We've barely seen Constantine interact with the Arrowverse, forget Spectre, though he was in Constantine
