So I think we're all pretty much agreed that Avengers: Infinity War was pretty much a masterpiece.
No. It's a 7/10 movie.

How can someone be turned into a spring and still be alive afterwards? Hah! Yeah, that the effects of what Thanos did to people seemed to just "wear off" whenever he left. Maybe because he didn't snap?

Well he did have the ability to alter our perception of reality itself. It's definitely a nitpick that doesnt bother me in the movie. But lets admit that if those characters had stayed that way in the movie then would have been done for before they even got to Titan to have their nice showdown. Its a way of letting them off the hook so they can keep using them throughout the movie.

I meant by altering reality that it didn’t actually happen to them, they just thought it did. Kind of like When she stabbed Thanos he didn’t reverse it, he wasnt actually there to begin with. Looks, feels, seems real but it’s not. It was a tactic by the directors to make people think those guys were dead but a psyche out. Better than the usual, “Black Panther fell off the waterfall, and not one person believes he survived!” Or “Extremis Pepper who’s made of lava fell in some fire, that means she died right? That’s how it worked in suicide squad...”

Hardly a masterpiece. IW is supposed to be a superhero movie, but there are no heroes in IW. Just a bunch of selfish assholes and cowards who put their own selfish agendas ahead of the greater good. For example: 1. Starlord. Prevents them from getting the gauntlet off Thanos' hand. 2. Scarlet Witch. Refuses to sacrifice her robot sex toy to save the universe. 3. Hulk. Too cowardly to show up for the fight after getting a beatdown by Thanos.

Thor lost a ton and was willing to sacrifice himself to create his battle axe. Groot got his teenage head out of his roots and sacrificed his arm. It’ll grow back, but he did, yet again. The rest fought Thanos and his minions at risk for their lives, without care for their own safety, in spite of his toying with them.

Nobody wants to see a superhero movie with no heroes and only selfish assholes and cowards.

The box office seems to suggest differently.

I don't like "superheroes" who are selfish assholes or cowards because those are not the qualities of a superhero.

I don't like "superheroes" who are selfish assholes or cowards because those are not the qualities of a superhero. So basically you like perfect heroes. Gotcha. Everyone likes perfect heroes. Nobody wants to see a hero who's a selfish asshole or a coward or too incompetent to get the job done. Just look at James Bond. 50 years, 26 movies. People like watching James Bond movies not because Bond is flawed but because Bond is perfect. Bond is smart, resourceful, loyal to Queen and country, can't be bribed, can't be intimidated, knows how to bungee jump, scuba dive, sky dive, drive a tank, fly a plane, fly a helicopter, even fly a space shuttle. Bond can do whatever is needed to get the job done and is perfect at everything he does. And that's why everyone likes to watch a hero like James Bond.

Except for Mary Sues. They may be perfect heroes, but they have little character development to get people to genuinely like or relate to.

By the way James Bond is a terrible example. The dude is rapey as fuck.
