I am sure young Lois Lane had some lines--I can't be positive her mother did. But I am sure they showed her at least. Yeah, I just meant that they did not call her that.

Yeah, I just meant that they did not call her that. That's possible. I likely watched the first tv showing as well (I assume it was ABC so that means the announcer was the guy who did the voice of Superman on the Superfriends!).
They did a couple of Superfriends that referenced the movie. One with three Krypton villains-and another with Luthor (and an Otis sidekick) who makes a deal with creatures in the Sun (Hellion of the Sun) to turn the sun red then they go nuts and start burning everything. Luthor has to help Superman.

Lois: "Do you like pink?" Supes: "I like pink very much, Lois" This is too good!

Can he actually read her mind? This is confusing, If he can read her mind then Luthor must really be a brainiac to be able to keep Superman in the dark like he does with a certain box.

The Lex and sidekicks stuff is getting a bit too goofy now.

The Lex and sidekicks stuff is getting a bit too goofy now. Yeah I think they overdo it. And he needs to fight a robot! That is the only big mistake. Luthor should have a giant robot in his lair.

Or a big CGI monster!

That girl helping him out of the pool is a little too convenient.

I really don't care for the Larry Hagman scene. Ugh--that is so lame. They overdid the humor.
"It's not that I don't trust you Otis....I don't trust you, what did you do?"
On the other hand, the scene where the kryptonite is revealed is really well done. First, we are led to regard Luthor as a clown-and then he brings out this deadly stuff and Reeve's expression is so emotive--the complete shock of facing something that can hurt him. And then Luthor becomes rather sinister. Also, Valerie Perrine's line "My mother lives in Hackensack" is delivered with vulnerable sadness. The idea of missiles heading for New Jersey could come across as hokey but they get a lot of dramatic suspense out of it with acting business and line delivery.

Wait... So can he time travel in the comics or did the movie make that up?
Either way, it does serve as a crisis moment for Supes, forcing him to disobey his father and break the natural rules of physics in order to save Lois. But at the same time, it's a bit of a WTF moment and there appears to be zero negative consequences from the action.

That is a good scene. Her mother being in the target zone is way too convenient though. So is an alien from Krypton looking exactly like an Earth human.
