I've tried watching Fight Club a couple times, I find it boring beyond belief. Also Citizen Kane. I recognize it for its place in history and the fine cinematography, but I find the actual film boring as f. Also, I find all Star Wars boring. You didn't enjoy the twist at the end of Fight Club at all?
Have owned the book (and movie) for years - it looks like a quick read - will actually have to read it at some point.......own a ton of Chuck Palahniuk books -
Chapter 30 in the book is not in the movie at all. The book ends better (but I love the movie too).

Comedies: Animal House Caddyshack These are considered 2 of our American Classics? I'm embarrassed - maybe I'm a product of my time but I'll take Old School, Zoolander, Big Daddy, Blades of Glory and a bit before that - The Naked Gun and Airplane over these unfunny duds 8 days out of the week This is the worst take I've ever read on this board. This has to be trolling. No self respecting person would say that Big Daddy or Blades of Glory are watchable, let alone better than Animal House and Caddyshack.

No appreciation at all for the 1st Die Hard?
What didn't you like about it?
Bad guy does something bad. Good guy to the rescue. Good guy has a plan. 34,895,077,801 things could go wrong. 34.895,077.801 things go right for good guy. Yawn.
Found the plot for Plan 9 From Outer Space more plausible than all action films. And I'd rather watch Plan 9 than Die Hard.
And yet AVP: Requiem is a work of art?

95% of sci-fi movies. 95% of horror movies. 95% of westerns. 98% of musicals. 90% of all sports movies. 100% of John Wayne movies.
Specifically:
Rocky Singing in the Rain Rear Window
Don't hate but overrated:
Mean Streets Godfather Chinatown

I’m actually not a huge Caddyshack fan, I don’t hate it but it doesn’t deeply move me. That being said it’s Citizen Kane compared to Sandler and Ferrell, actors with like 3 good films among their 100 combined credits.

Took it a step too far. You've outed yourself as not being serious since it's impossible for any person to have enjoyed Jack and Jill more than any other single movie in history. Haven't seen it but I've heard Holmes and Watson is in the same camp.

Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers, Napoleon Dynamite and The Watchmen. The Watchmen in particular was a comic movie that got so much god damn hype and every other jack ass on every forum had an avatar or signature of it when the movie came out. I finally saw it and didn't care for it at all. NBK was a glorified snuff film. I was falling asleep 20 minutes into NP. I just remember it being very dry.

The Dark Night. It’s too fucking long and Christian Bales Batman voice is just about the most grating thing that has ever existed.

Also, The Master. I don’t know if it’s considered a truly great film, as I don’t hear too many people rave about it, but it is a Paul T Anderson joint, and he is a critical darling. Just utter shit. Joaquin Phoenix dials it up to 11 for 2+ hours, and it is incredibly obnoxious.

Solaris (like watching Russian paint dry, in slow motion) The Assassination of Jesse James etc (monumentally dreary soundtrack too) I couldn't agree more about those two. "The Assassination of Jesse James..." was so highly regarded but I thought it was boring crap. As for "Solaris", it became a joke in my family for years after I dragged my father and my brother (both science fiction fans) to see it. This was long before the Internet, so I knew nothing about the movie other than that it was Russian and that it was science fiction. I am not sure they have forgiven me yet for subjecting them to three hours of off-the-scales boredom.

You didn't laugh at any Rob Schneider movies either. Not one person ever has. Except maybe at The Stapler! Rated PG-13

Some of the cinematography stuff might just be seeing it outside of the time it was made and what was special then doesn't seem that way to me now. I can give that a second shot. The story is complete dreck though, no matter when it was made, and Lars Thorwald is a laughably bad character.

Now I just think you're on the spectrum and don't know what funny is. An episode of Masterpiece Theater is more humorous than anything Adam Sandler has ever done. Adam Sandler is worse at comedy than Carl Lewis is at throwing a baseball or singing the national anthem.
