They will build stadiums, schools, shopping malls for all their adoring fans then build momentous statues glorifying the great patriotic heroes of the realm.

Makes sense. They just got them back so I doubt he had major plans for them already.
My guess is either phase 5 or 6.

People who were expecting a MCU X-Men right away were not being realistic. The MCU is a huge machine that probably already has their next ten films planned out, and the idea that they coul just rewrite their plans overnight is far-fetched. And no, there will be no Endgame stinger showing the X-Men.

5 years till MCU xmen, ha. Makes sense they wouldnt do it earlier because they wouldnt be able to escape Foxs superior shadow so they needed time for it to settle. Unlike when they rebooted Spiderman or Hulk pretty much straight away.

First off, LOL, Fox's superior shadow Second off, they did wait a couple of years to reboot Spider-Man and Hulk. 5 years for Hulk and 4 years for Spider-Man.

Disney cannot create anything better than DOFP or Logan, or even an X2. Those are real Xmen movies true to the soul of the source material. V 2 years for Spiderman. He appeared in Civil War 2016

V 2 years for Spiderman. He appeared in Civil War 2016 Well, it's Disney MCU that scored a Best Picture nomination, something Fox and Warner Bros couldn't do, so they have created better. And who's says MCU can't stay true to the soul of the source material? They're the best at it of the 4 studios churning out superhero movies. And I'll give you that one, even though Civil War wasn't Spider-Man's movie, but technically it was his first appearance in the MCU.

Black Panther was a race bait nomination, I think thats been well established. No movie with that poor CGI at the end should qualify for best picture. And First Class is at the very least on par with Black Panther and isnt even a high tier Xmen movie. Disney are best at making good fight scenes and planning a shared universe with crossovers. Storytelling isnt their best suit.

About the issue with white heroes having minority sidekicks? Yet when a predominantly black production is successful, you dismiss it as some kind if 'pity nomination.' You can't have it both ways, and if I'm being honest either claim makes you look like a clown.

Honestly it's good that they're not rushing into the X-Men. We've been getting X-Men films since 2000.
It would be nice to have a break from the X-Men.

The movie has bad cgi at the end and still gets voted in, sounds like a pity nomination to me. No unpolished movie with $200million budget would get nominated if it had a glaring technical error like PS2 graphics fight scene. This was already proven months ago with many threads highlighting this and other aspects like black panther not getting a screenplay award either which for a best pic nominee is virtally unheard of. Minority sidekicks to a white hero still a problem in MCU movies yes. Blak panther is an all black film and the main sidekicks are all black too. Doesnt solve the ethnic minority sidekicks to white hero problem

Lol, ok. It was proven unequivocally when several cranks who populate this site bitched about it.

Not sure what your point is regarding Black Panther. Should the other characters hailing from an African nation not also be black? Was it a problem that Everett Ross was white?

I think Deadpool will run in his own little universe.
We are seeing the end of the X-men saga with Dark Phoenix from Fox. Normal wait is what, 3 yrs? So 5 isnt that crazy

5 years till MCU xmen, ha. Makes sense they wouldnt do it earlier because they wouldnt be able to escape Foxs superior shadow so they needed time for it to settle. Unlike when they rebooted Spiderman or Hulk pretty much straight away. Spider-Man is a single character that fits right in with the MCU. It wouldn't take as long to establish him as a character and to add him to the roster. X-Men is different. This is a potential crown jewel franchise (which Fox never seemed to realize or capitalize on). It's a universe unto itself, which introduces mutants and teams of characters. It's a little more complicated and requires significant care and planning to ensure longevity, which is what MCU excels at. Compare this to Fox, winging it from film to film, ignoring continuity and making things up as they went along. Audiences stopped caring, because that's the message Fox was sending with their films (Logan and Deadpool being the exceptions). And the delay is most likely because they have several years worth of plans already in place and they want to allow some time to clear the drain and cleanse the pallet from the previous underwhelming Fox-Men films. This should make you happy. It'll give you some more grieving time.

Doesnt solve the ethnic minority sidekicks to white hero problem They already had films nominated for the so-called "race bait". Green Book, Blackkklansmen and they could have nominated If Beale Street Could Talk as well. They didn't need to nominate Black Panther for that. It received a lot of other nominations as well, so it's a quality film (if a little overrated) save for a couple of bad CGI rhinos and a questionable CGI fight scene (which is not enough to nullify the entire film no matter how much you think it should). I'm sorry for you that none of the Fox-Men films reached the same level of recognition, but at least Logan came pretty close.
