I’m already annoyed by Dany next week. If she legit holds a grudge against Jaime I will openly root for her demise from here on out. I’m already mildly against her because Sansa doesn’t like her.

I hope they break it to her that Jon is her relative. I do love to see her reaction. So what Bran said was that he was waiting for an old friend. Did that refer to Jaime?

I got the impression that’s what Bran meant. I agree, but for what purpose? He's not really Bran Stark anymore, so I'm sure he isn't holding any grudges. So why does he want to speak to Jaime Lannister so much that he is just waiting for hours and hours?

55 minutes? That's some bullshit. Still 400 minutes ish left to go. It could never be enough, but I don't feel cheated.

I voted 7. But, that's like a "GoT 7".... (Like a "LA 7" is really a 9 for the rest of the country) Nothing major really happening... Just (awesome) set-up for future episodes. Seemed kinda like they started off the season with a "filler" episode. I mean they got a TON of reunions and information out of the way. Arya-Jon, Arya-Gentry, Arya-Hound, Tyrion-Sansa, Everyone and Dany...and a great setup for Jaime-Bran. Plus Jon knows truth now, San knows Dany executes his fam, The Golden Company arrived, Yara is greed and is prob out of the picture already. It got the ball more than a little bit rolling. I agree with ya. But it just needed more imo. This could have easily been a 70-80 min episode with more dialogue about some pretty important stuff. Like when bran told Dany about her dead dragon she didn’t act shocked or worried that the NK is actually riding a dragon. That’s just one example. More battle prep would have been nice. A scene with Jon and ghost (seriously what the hell HBO). Altough I will say the boy on the wall was totally bad ass and terrifying. I feel like we needed one more banger of the NK though. Him destroying a small village would have been a great horror sequence

Next week's will be about the same, and the following 4 will be about 90 minutes each.

Don't like to be nitpicking but just so that you don't raise your expectations 3rd - 1 hr 22 mins 4th - 1 hr 18 mins 5h, 6th - 1 hr 20 mins each. I wish they were 90 mins long.

Cersei drinks wine in this episode too. Not sure thats concrete proof shes lying about being preggers but it seems like a heavy suggestion.

Was pleased with Arya’s reunions. Her excitement at initially seeing Jon in the crowd was great and their proper reunion later was very good. It made her other reunions a little underwhelming but I can’t think of any other way her reunion with the Hound could’ve gone. Aside from mid battle or something. I liked the hints of teasing with her and Gendry too. I don’t really care if they get together but it’s something. Reunion after reunion, characters coming back for no serious purpose like Gendry or Benjen in S7, and even the Hound it seems. This show has completed its metamorphosis from something clever and intricate to something designed to please feeling fools. Then it will end in something shocking and hurting fools, not making any meaningful point. Feelers do not run this world but they pay well for it. They are paying to get laid, it seems. I almost understand people who refuse to despise whores.

I have been annoyed by Daenerys since S3 but this further confirms the expectation that the character is set up to turn bad and fall. It openly started when she crucified the Masters in S4 and became obvious when she burned the Khals.

55 minutes? That's some bullshit. Fantasising idiots have gobbled stupid wishful thinking about the episode lengths magically compensating for their reduced number and are now all disappointed. Look at them.

I do feel a bit cheated to be honest. Why should they want to make up for anything? They'd make more money with more episodes.

The uncovered times were round 80mn windows likely longer than the actual episode lengths but the idiot in charge is already upgrading them to his 90mn fantasy.

Loved the episode, good stuff. I rated it an 8/10. I wonder how long Jamie will last now that he's in the north. I'm hoping he still has a few episodes in front of him. Anyone notice how much darker his hair is now? He doesn't have that Lannister golden mane any longer. Granted it has been getting darker each season. There's something to that I think.

I know that but it's a spoiler so… Nikolaj Koster-Waldau had to disclose his revenue in some legal conflict for last year and the sum pointed at six episodes. He wouldn't die before the finale, if at all.
