Episode 4 has leaked. And it confirms possibly the worst ending outline (for episode 5 and 6) a leaker had told us. Because he was spot on for ep4 from what I know. I can’t believe this. just please dont tell me jon dies in a stupid fire ...

The show went unwatchable for me in S6, so there's nothing they can do to make it worse.

"Human shield is a military and political term describing the deliberate placement of non-combatants in or around combat targets to deter the enemy from attacking these combat targets. It may also refer to the use of persons to literally shield combatants during attacks, by forcing them to march in front of the combatants.
Using this tactic is considered a war crime by nations that are parties to the 1949 Geneva Conventions, the 1977 Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions, and the 1998 Rome Statute.[1]"
Cersei has put her name right in line with some of the worst dictators to ever walk our earth. There is a reason this practice is considered most heinous and a war crime.

Full disclosure, I laughed out loud when Rhaegar got shot. I couldn’t help it.

There was something so sad about this week's show. Last week was victory and cheering...at the end anyway...this week feels completely different. This definitely isn't going to end well.

I loved this episode. The battle with the White Walkers sucked, but the battle for the throne is shaping up quite nicely.

So all the commradery at the beginning and celebrations and drinking games was very fun for me. The motions toward Mad Dany were executed well. Hard to blame her although I keep wondering if she understood that people die in war. I know she’s losing a lot quickly but still...WAR! Glad Tormund and Ghost are safe...I hope. Rip Missandeia perfect body.

Great episode. Much, much better than I thought it would be. And light-years better than last week's. I'm feeling cautiously optimistic that they won't f-up the ending. Honestly. How was it this damn good? Nothing about episode 1-3 indicated that they might pull off the final three but here we are ...

Full disclosure, I laughed out loud when Rhaegar got shot. I couldn’t help it. I laugh at weird times during Game of Thrones as well. When I watch it with friends they are always looking at me funny. I still to this day laugh at Emilia Clark's facial expressions. There is just something about her face that I find incredibly awkward. I laughed at the close up of her face at the end. Like she had to take a huge shit and was doing her best to hold it in.

I liked it fine.
It was kinda predictable (I knew the dragon was a goner) and Sansa's hatred of Dany is forced.
For one second there, I thought they were going to throw a curveball regarding Jaime, but nope. Of course he's heading to KL.

That said, they totally should have rested and gotten some reconnaissance.

I give this episode a 9. It was the best of the season imo. Nothing that happened last week was really shocking other than the NK dying in it and the whole thing just being over just like that. This week though, it had a couple "oh shit" responses from me which gave me the feeling that shit is really picking up and now I'm hyped for where this shit is going.
Sucks that Missandei died since she was the hottest character on this show imo but the impact of her death was truly felt imo. I knew she or Greyworm if not both would die. I just assumed Greyworm was gonna die last week. This death for her was far more impactful than anything we had last week imo.
I'm really curious to see where this Tyrion/Varas storyline is going. Atm I think Varas is gonna end up as dragon food. The Gendry/Arya seen had me just cringing and feeling super bad for the poor dude.
I've also gotta say I wasn't into the Jaime/Brienne thing at all. It was fan service to a lot of people but I didn't really need it then to see Brienne ugly cry near the end wasn't needed for me.
I'm also hearing mixed responses as to why Jaime is going to Cersei. Is it because he's indeed going back to her? Or is it he's going to kill her in order to move on with his life? I think he's going back to her only to then indeed be the one to actually kill her. So it's a mixture of both. However as the amazing Olenna Tyrell said to him "she'll be the death of you". I truly believe that Jaime is going to die taking out Cersei and they're going to die together.

Pretty awful tbh.
Again most of the character stuff is nice. But they just can’t help but botch everything else. The logic is completely missing. No idea why Dany would meet with Cersei after seeing her dragon get massacred. And I have no idea why Cersei did not open fire and end the war in a matter of minutes.
Just one example of something I didn’t like. It’s definitely a failure of a season for me. Everything I liked about the show died. Glad you guys like it though
edit: also fuck Jon for hating ghost. That enraged me.

That enraged me. Dany met with Cersei so she could say she offered terms that would have prevented further bloodshed.
They weren't about to leave the walls of King's Landing and risk being ambushed.
Jon was leaving the North behind, that's what he hated.

I agree with most. This episode was better than last week's episode. Last week was largely disappointing.
(We have to give it to Lena Headey. She makes Cersie easy to hate.)
