I'm confused. Most people didn't want to see Captain Marvel, yet it outgrossed Wonder Woman. Please explain. It's already been proven that Disney bought out empty theaters for Captain Marvel. Love it!

They weren't trolling. RT had 2 boxes that users could check: Want to See and Don't Want to See. Most people checked Don't Want to See. It's not trolling to check Don't Want to See a movie. But Disney couldn't let allow the perception that most people didn't want to see Captain Marvel so Disney pressured RT into removing the Don't Want to See percentage from the site. I'm confused. Most people didn't want to see Captain Marvel, yet it outgrossed Wonder Woman. Please explain. Do you think everyone in the world went to see WW? Or that most of the general public said they didn't want to see CM? Most of the people who bothered to go to RT and click on "want to see/don't want to see" for Capt Marvel clicked on "don't want to see". Apparently that really upset Disney and SJWs so RT bowed to the Mouse and removed the feature.
What's confusing you?

It's an inside joke with DC-Fan. Don't worry about it. Though I'm curious as to how the film made over $1B at the box office if most people didn't want to see it. It's fine, really. Don't get so stressed out and reply to my posts multiple times because you're so heated. The sun's going to come up tomorrow, jim. It's ok.

Really confusing, I know.
BTW:
"And the avenues for manipulating audience perception are dwindling.
YouTube, where anti-Larson videos proliferated ahead of the film's opening, chose to categorize "Brie Larson" as a news search, not a general one. The algorithm tweak, first initiated to combat conspiracy videos after the 2017 Las Vegas music festival shooting, pushed videos from news and entertainment outlets up, and rants like "Brie Larson is Ruining Marvel!" down.
Rotten Tomatoes, which ranks both critic and audience scores, removed the potential for audience scoring before a movie is released. Though an initial wave of negative audience ratings pushed the score for "Captain Marvel" down, by Wednesday it was at 63 percent — almost exactly the film's average on Metacritic.
Dana Benson, a representative for the Fandango-owned Rotten Tomatoes, said the site is exploring more adjustments to prevent the gaming of its audience scores including a "verified purchase" component to reviews, similar to Amazon's system, so to audience reviews come from those who have seen the movie.
"We've seen it with enough movies that we know we have to evolve our system," said Benson of the trolling. "Anyone that has an open system like we do has received this type of attention. Moving forward, we want to make sure our users can trust our audience score and that we find different ways to verify the reviews."
But positive reviews are fine and dandy. No need to verify.
As far as Disney being caught buying tickets I don't know whether they did or not but I do know there were plenty of reports from theater workers and mangers where large blocks of tickets were bought and nobody showed up.
I mean Disney had search engines and Youtube push down negative stories, reviews etc about Capt Marvel......you're OK with that?

And I find it ironic that YT thinks the way to combat "conspiracies" is to use their "algorithm" to censor stuff they don't want seen.
That's not terrifying at all.

I didn't vote on it but if I had of I would have voted "not seeing" because i had no interest in seeing it.......so is that trolling?
Why if so many people wanted to see it did Disney go to such lengths to censor negative reviews and stories?

Thanks for proving my point. Most people who bothered to go to RT said they didn't want to see it. Actual audiences proved otherwise at the BO, hence RT wanting to avoid trolls trying to game the system. Your tinfoil hat theories about Disney buying tickets are sad. Why didn't they buy tickets for Dumbo? Oh yeah, Dumbo didn't say anything to offend you. Odd that among all those quotes there isn't a credible source for your claim of 'reports from theater workers and mangers where large blocks of tickets were bought and nobody showed up.' Earlier when I said I was done with the conversation, it wasn't for dramatic effect. It was said in the hopes that you'd give up on the conversation, but I should've known better. You're too angry for that. You've always been angry. A quick glance through your post history finds a thread you started about Muslims inbreeding. This is the stuff you sit around thinking about, I don't know what else there is to say. Do what you do, and throw in an extra lol for me. Peace.

ReyKahuka is OK with the Patriots taping other teams' signals and with Brady ordering his equipment guy, Jim "The Deflator" McNally, to tamper with game balls so of course ReyKahuka is OK with the dishonesty and manipulation by Disney.

Gosh, it's a real mystery how a movie released in thousands of theaters worldwide made a lot of money if most of the TINY PERCENTAGE OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC who bothered to go to RT and vote on CM said they didn't want to see it lol.
Real mystery. Glad I could prove your point for you though Rey. I didn't realize your point was you can't read.

My point from the beginning. Do you understand yet? Most people who bothered to vote on the site said they didn't want to see it. The movie (which wasn't that great in my opinion) made over $1B at the box office, proving the audience interest in the film was not reflected accurately in the poll. The system was being gamed and they knew it, hence the changes at the site. As an aside, are you pretending not to understand sarcasm or are you really this stupid? I think your posts answer that question loud and clear.

If I had voted.....I would have voted "No, don't want to see it".....yet.....the movie still would have made money. Crazy right? I guess if I had voted that would have made me a troll huh?
And it's interesting how people saying they don't want to see a movie is "gaming" the system when Disney is working with Youtube, shill media sites, RT etc to censor negative reviews and comments about their movies and you haven't said a peep about that.
Youtube LITERALLY ADMITTED they changed their algorithm to keep "negative" stuff down. RT LITERALLY made it so people couldn't vote because they didn't like the results. Did you even read the article I posted where Disney was bragging about how they know how to limit negativity about their movies?
But you want to talk about "gaming" the system because a few thousand people said they didn't want to see a fucking movie? Just lol at you dude.
Defending giant studios working with review sites to censor negative reviews? Pathetic.

Youtube burying stuff they don't want you to see through algorithms is probably nothing to worry about. Giant tech and media companies know what's best for us and have our best interests at heart.

Just lol at you dude. Is that why you've done nothing but defend RT and Disney and called everyone who voted that they didn't want to see CM a "troll"?
Tell me again about how you're "confused" about how most people on RT could vote that they didn't want to see CM but it could still make money.
You've done nothing but argue with people who have pointed out what Disney, YT and shill sites like RT are doing.
Don't worry though, it's all just a "conspiracy"....none of it's really happening......every Disney movie really is just that great......it's not because they actively try to censor negative reviews and stories, lol.
