...or they were just more positive reviews than negative reviews. Like how there were more people who didn't want to see it than wanted to see it till RT removed that feature to "combat trolls"?
Once you start censoring everything you do is suspect. RT has zero credibility.
And Youtube absolutely altered their algorithm to suppress negative stuff about CM and promote mainstream stuff, which is controlled by Disney. I mean do you even realize how big Disney is or what it controls and the pressure it puts out?
Stick to watching Pokemon movies and let the adults talk.
Yeah, please tell me what happened to negative reviews posted by Chris Stuckmann and Jeremy Jahns.

Ah, yes. Because not watching the best video game adaptation of all time makes you so "mature". Instead, we should all watch 'Fifty Shades Freed' because it's for adults only. Right...? RIGHT? Wow, best adaptation of a kid's video game lol. That's some rarified air.

Ah, yes. Because 'Alone in the Dark' is so much better than 'Pokemon: Detective Pikachu' because the former is so much more "adult" than the latter. Right? RIGHT?

The $1 billion + box office is a pretty clear indicator that the number of people who wanted to see CM was quite high. Eliminating reviews by people who didn't see the movie is hardly censorship. The one thing we can be pretty sure Disney doesn't control is RT, since it is owned by their competition. What's the RT rating of Aladdin right now? Not much different from what Guy Ritchie film usually gets. The guy (no pun intended) has always been bit of a polarizing director, so that rating shouldn't come as a surprise.

Yeah, please tell me what happened to negative reviews posted by Chris Stuckmann and Jeremy Jahns. Are you trying to claim Youtube didn't push down negative reviews and push mainstream reviews and shows reviewing CM?
I mean....they literally said they did that lol.
Literally.
So......?
Learn to read.....nobody said there weren't negative reviews......God knows there were tons of them......the point is RT, Disney and YT colluded to keep down that stuff using the defense of "we're just stopping trolls".
If you don't see the problem with that from a credibility standpoint or an ethical standpoint I don't know what else to say.
If you support tech companies colluding to censor opinions about movies, shows, anything for that matter, you're a moron.
Disney is the 800 pound gorilla of the media, they have billions at their disposal and God only knows how many media companies. But they can't handle someone saying they don't like they're movies lol? They need to have RT remove a feature that asks whether you want to see a movie or not because it was getting to many "I don't want to see this movie" responses?
Oh, no, did the company worth 130 billion dollars get some negative reviews? Boo hoo.
Shame on you for supporting censorship.

1. Where is your source of YouTube saying this? And I want a legit source and not some false claim peddlers. (Actually, don't because that's exactly what you're going to do based on what other posters have found out about you.) 2. Why didn't Disney do this with 'A Wrinkle in Time', then? That was ONE film that they wouldn't let it fail if we go by your logic. Oh, I know! It's because Disney is a racist AND sexist company that can't afford to see the first big-budget film directed by a black woman! Right? RIGHT?

Who said anything about Alone in the Dark? It's a complete POS so what's your point? That DP is better than a complete POS lol? High praise indeed.
But AITD is not based on a kid's game where the main character was specifically designed to appeal to young children.
I'll take your word on DP being the greatest video game adaptation of all time lol. But that's like saying someone is "the greatest midget basketball player of all time". There isn't exactly much competition for "best video game adaptation", most video game movies are complete POS. I honestly can't think of a single good one.

RIP Rotten Tomatoes , nothing but shill for studios
So people like me that watch movies in theaters outside the US cannot be verified even though we actually have seen the movie? I think this sux.
Blatant attempt to generate money through ticket sales.
"But it’s also a way for Fandango, which owns Rotten Tomatoes, to drive more ticket sales — initially, the only way users can have their ratings count toward the Audience Score will be through a Fandango purchase.
Fandango insists that boosting ticket purchases was not the primary driver of the Audience Score change, noting that it has deals with AMC Theatres, Regal and Cinemark Theatres to participate in the program to let their customers verify their ticket purchases on Rotten Tomatoes sometime later this year."
"Rotten Tomatoes’ change also means the primary movie Audience Score ratings will be computed only from authenticated ticket-buyers in the U.S., at least out of the gate."

1. And this is where your astounding lack of maturity shows your true color. At this point, I won't be surprised that 'Mektoub, My Love: Intermezzo' is much better than, say, 'Coco' because it contains a lot of sex scenes and nudity. 2. You can't find a beter video game adaptation because most of them WERE actually bad. 'Pokemon: Detective Pikachu' is pretty much the first video game adaptation that can be considered as "good".

I already posted a link in this thread where Disney, YT and RT talk bragged about the steps taken to limit "trolls" criticizing their movies. They literally say they've learned from the reaction to movies like GB16 and The Last Jedi.....they LITERALLY SAY THAT in the article.
Can you just not read? Since you're too dumb to clink on a link here's some quotes from the article:
"It's a playbook borrowed from the political realm and brought into the movie theater. And the movies that have drawn such attention have, more times than not, starred women in franchises previously dominated by males. But after similar campaigns against "Ghostbusters" and "The Last Jedi," Hollywood studios are fighting back, as are sites like Rotten Tomatoes and YouTube."
"YouTube, where anti-Larson videos proliferated ahead of the film's opening, chose to categorize "Brie Larson" as a news search, not a general one. The algorithm tweak, first initiated to combat conspiracy videos after the 2017 Las Vegas music festival shooting, pushed videos from news and entertainment outlets up, and rants like "Brie Larson is Ruining Marvel!" down."
"The amplified backlashes to both "The Last Jedi" (which opened strong but faded) and "Ghostbusters" (which disappointed altogether) appeared to hurt the films' bottom lines."
But the tide may be turning. The same Facebook group that organized to vote down "The Last Jedi" also went after Ryan Coogler's "Black Panther." That time, though, both Facebook and Rotten Tomatoes moved to counter the group, which was removed from Facebook.
Why didn't Disney do it with Wrinkle in Time? I assume because they hadn't thought of it yet? The backlash against TLJ really hurt that movie and Disney is taking steps to make sure it doesn't happen again.....they literally said that.
Quit defending giant tech and media companies censoring the internet to boost their profits dude. It's pathetic.

RT didn't get rid of reviews for CM, they got rid of the option to say whether you wanted to see the movie or not see the movie. That's not a "review" and you don't have to have seen a movie to say "I don't want to see this movie". If you're going to reply at least know what you're talking about.
RT may be owned by a different company but these tech and media companies are all collaborating and working together. RT, YT, Disney, Facebook, all took action to censor reviews and opinions about CM. That's simply fact. 100% fact.
Why you guys are supporting censorship is beyond me. Why you're defending a giant tech companies censoring the internet is beyond me.
