But wasn't Lakers victory in 2010 a big farce? Was it?
I can't remember last week let alone 2010.
What happened?

Dunk Contest tonight - should be fun
Dwight Howard vs. Aaron Gordon
I think a lot of people will be pulling for Dwight - nice to see him turn is life around and this will be like stepping into a time machine.

So you're pretty much stating the Boston Celtics are the Montreal Canadiens of the NBA?
But wasn't Lakers victory in 2010 a big farce? 2010 was the Finals where in Game 7, the Lakers were given 17(!) more free throws in the 4th quarter and were able to beat the Celtics by 4 points. Forget about however you feel about the Celtics or the Lakers. You had a Finals that went to a 7th game, and in the 4th quarter of the 7th game, one team had 17 more free throws than the other team. Seem fair to you?

Yes, the Lakers are damn good, but because of what happened to Kobe, they will be sentimental favorites as well. Throw in the fact that Lebron practically runs the NBA now, and you might see something similar to what happened to the Kings in 2000 and the Celtics in 2010.

I would not like to see a Bucks or Clippers or Raptors or Celtics or Sixers team not win a championship because NBA believes a victory for Lakers will be good for NBA.

You should be just as concerned if your Rockets play them during the Western Conference playoffs.

You're an old school baseball fan - not even back in the day - when they played hard (from what I heard)?
I grew watching 90s basketball - miss those All-Star games - the likes of Reggie Miller, Barkley, Jordan, Ewing vs. Hakeem, Karl Malone, Steve Nash/John Stockton, etc

Yeah, they used to be a bit more interesting back in the day, the players actually played a little defense. It's always been more show than game, which is cool. All-star games are for fans, so let the players show off their offensive skills.

Watching the lame dunk contest last night, I was dreaming they could do it Royal Rumble style. Have Vince Carter come out as contestant #5 or something, have the building explode.

Just turned on the All Star Game. Picture quality sucks. And why is it the same on TBS and TNT?

Great 4th quarter. There was no way I couldn't stop looking for the game clock.
I think this setup is as good as it gets. There's no way guys will want to play their brains out for 4 quarters the way they did for that ending.
Nurse coaching the 2021 Giannis Raptors schemes was a nice tease.

Lucky Giannis wasn't the star of the game. People had to text firstname.lastname to vote for MVP.

I know I'm going to sound like a homer.
There's 27 games left.
I think the Sixers are going to come out and obliterate people - on the road too.
I liked the way Simmons/Embiid handled each other on All-Star weekend and had each others backs.
That look in Embiid's eyes when he Dream Shaked LeBron above was the look of a killer and all business - he's even stated - come playoff time he's going to dominate and be a killer.
Completely different team now that Horford is coming off the bench and they acquired 2 shooters in Burks/Robinson to better space the floor - we're not fitting square pegs in round holes any longer.
