Oh jeez ... that dcfan never misses an opportunity to beclown himself. Jim McNally - football deflation expert. Highly experienced. Couldn't even deflate each football to the same pressure. Instead of taking his time and carefully deflating the footballs to Brady's exact specifications, he ducks into a bathroom and expels a random amount of air from each ball in a needlessly frantic rush, resulting in a wide range of pressures. If a student copies another student's test answers but still gets a C on the test, that doesn't mean the student didn't cheat. It just means the student didn't do a good job of cheating. If a student plagiarizes a research paper and still gets a C on the assignment, that doesn't mean the student didn't plagiarize. It just means the student didn't do a good job of plagiarizing. Or it means you should stop copying off of and plagiarizing those who are only slightly smarter than you. These two examples are oddly specific...

Jim "The Deflator" McNally just got lazy Sorry, cupcake. You already portrayed McNally as a highly skilled football deflater. You can't have it both ways. A lazy football deflater wouldn't have exerted tremendous effort to deflate the balls in record time. A skilled football deflater wouldn't have screwed up the pressures. You lose. Both ways!

I just want to see this thread get more pages than how many Super Bowl rings Tom Brady has won.
So let me get this straight, both Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers were cheating, yet only Brady was punished?
Can someone explain this to me please?

I'm not arguing about whether or not Brady did it. I thought I made that clear, but that's not what I'm arguing at all. Nor am I arguing morality. It's just a fact that one thing is against the rules, and the other is not. I think it's as simple as that. My final post on this topic because it's a pointless argument and I think we respect each other enough to agree to disagree here. Overinflating the ball is against the rules. The only difference between that and what the Patriots were accused of is timing. In both cases someone is trying to circumvent the rules. One scenario has a guy cheating first and hoping the officials won't notice so he can gain an advantage while the other one is waiting until after the officials look away to cheat to gain an advantage. The only difference to me are the odds of success. No, masterofallgoons _is correct. There's a big difference between what Rodgers did (giving the refs under-inflated footballs to check) and what Shady Brady did (having his equipment guy covertly deflate the footballs after the refs checked the footballs). In Rodgers' case, since he gave the footballs to the refs to check, the refs would've made sure that any footballs that Rodgers used in the game had the appropriate PSIs. That means Rodgers never actually used deflated footballs in a game and thus didn't cheat. In Shady Brady's case, Brady had his equipment guy covertly deflate the footballs after the refs checked the footballs and then Brady used those illegally deflated footballs in games. So Brady did cheat. BIG DIFFERENCE!

Wait a minute, Aaron Rodgers admitted to cheating tooooooo??? That's abdominal.

I agree, Rodgers is better than Brady. But he will have to win a bunch of Super Bowls to be ordained as the GOAT. For now Brady holds that distinction.

Why would a deflated football make any kind of difference? Wouldn't they be harder to grip, to throw? And who was doing the inflating?

This should be good; I'd like a cheat-by-cheat account of how Brady nefariously achieved each of his rings. I assume the first three were due to signal-stealing? Fourth was deflating footballs... fifth, was it stealing Shanahan's playbook? Edelman PEDs? Sixth was... I'm struggling here?

Which is easier to grip? who was doing the inflating? Jim "The Deflator" McNally was the Patriots equipment guy who was deflating footballs for Shady Brady to illegally use in games.

We're almost at that magical 7th page of this thread, which would automatically make it better than Tom Brady. Plus, this thread didn't cheat to get to it's first 6 pages.

I'm no Patriots fan (as all here know) but this must be one of the dumbest posts/lamest trolling attempts I've ever seen. Yes, Tom Brady is widely renowned for simply giving up, instead of making tough throws or winning. I am not sure this poster has posted anything of substance on this page yet. I’m sure

Rodgers didn't cheat because Rodgers never actually used deflated footballs. Rodgers cheated because he used overinflated footballs. Good catch, buddy.

So let me get this straight, both Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers were cheating, yet only Brady was punished? Can someone explain this to me please? Actually, there is zero evidence that Brady cheated. Even if a ball boy did deflate the footballs in a bathroom, there has never been any evidence whatsoever that Brady told him to do it. It has only been assumed that a ball boy would have only done it if instructed by the legendary Tom Brady. Dcfan's newest argument portraying a lazy and insubordinate ballboy, doing his own thing, destroys that assumption. Dcfan - losing an argument in every way imaginable! Oh, and Rodger admitted his scheme to gain an unfair advantage by sneaking overinflated footballs past the officials, and at other times rely on aiding and abetting officials to do his dirty work for him. Anyone who defends what Rodgers did has no business whining about someone else committing an equipment violation.
