Not that millar and Goodman can't or haven't already swatted this away properly, but for context, in the last 3 years, the Blue Jays are 216 - 270, whereas the Red Sox are 285 - 201, with a title. Goodman is dead on, the Yankees re-structured the way they do business and they've been awesome the past few years and have built a team that should contend for the next few years. For further context, the Blue Jays were ranked as the 16th most valuable MLB franchise with Rogers Communications having a valuation as of 2017 of $1.35 billion, putting them at an estimated worth of about $1.5b last year. Why don't they spend more money on free agents? Going into 2020, the Jays have a payroll at around $81m even after signing Hyun Jin Ryu to a 4 year, $80m contract. Ryu's been really good....when healthy and he's never had a fully healthy season since his rookie year. Now he'll be facing off against AL lineups where you'd imagine he'll be less effective. The rest of us applaud this course of hilarity. I do think Ryu was a good signing. Yeah he can’t stay healthy. Yeah, his numbers will dip away from LA. But he’s a beast when healthy and vastly underrated. Sometimes a pitcher does very well after switching leagues I don't disagree, his post was just stupid. Sometimes pitchers do well switching teams but he's entering a rough division with 3 really good teams that he'll face a whole bunch.

Headline on ESPN: "The '20s are Going to be the Dodgers' Decade". No pressure. This all changes when we trade for Kris Bryant over the next couple of weeks
I can't wait to see Best Buds who grew up together in Vegas - Harper and Bryant mashin' at CBP
They swap out Segura in the deal along with Bohm (28th ranked prospect per Baseball America) and Spencer Howard (27 ranked prospect per Baseball America) and some middling prospects - Arrieta and Didi are off the books next year - that's like $35 mil or so right there - add in Segura - that's like another $15 mil - that's $50 mil right there folks

By 2022, the Phillies will be just like the Red Sox. Over luxury tax, hamstrung with rotten contracts and unable to make moves.

We'll have our core for years of Bryce, Kris, Rhys and Kingery to go along with a tremendous 1-2 punch in Nola and Wheeler.

And when Nola and Hoskins are wanting 400 million a year? Or 450? And your paying out for Harper and Bryant? The Phillies do not have the resources the Red Sox have.

So does every team. Well, nearly every team. The Red Sox still have a ton of income. one shitty contract contract can fuck a team. Pinole, Miguel Cabrera. Why do you think the Sox traded Mookie. Why do you think the Cubs want to do dump Bryant? It’s fun to think of having a fantasy team in real life but they don’t work. Too much payroll, too many egos

Justin Turner in 4 seasons with the Mets: .265/.326./.370 with 8 homers and 86 RBI in 301 games. Justin Turner in 6 seasons with the Dodgers: .302./.381/.506 with 112 homers and 383 RBI in 754 games, and he's got a smokin hot wife.

Clearly Dodger Stadium has become a hitters haven the last decade.

Goes to LA and becomes a handy player
