Much as I enjoy Fargo, my week has already been made by the return of The Leftovers. Episode 1 of their final season was as bizarre as we've come to expect. Just when you think common sense has triumphed, you realise you there is no such thing in that world. I decided to give The Leftovers a try. I am now on S2EP5 and I must admit I am addicted. Right when I think I have a character nailed down BOOM, it is blown away. It constantly has me guessing. Great show. The setup of Tom starting his own cult was a masterpiece.

*****SPOILERS*****Just watched ep 2 of Fargo. Some of the cast are overacting to a boring degree. Yes, you David Thewlis. A disappointment for me Still loving it. Thewlis could tone it down a bit, but I don't think he will. Is every woman in Minnesota a kook? Peggy Blumquist last season, now Nikki Swango

I love the VM Varga character. So creepy and evil. Those are like my favorite two things!
So far so good through 2 episodes, but we need more VM Varga. But I don't think it can live up to season 1 or even 2. They were just too good

But I actually thought 2 was better. With 1, even though Martin Freeman and Allison Tolman were good it was still the "Lorne Malvo Show".

2 was phenomenal. Bokeem Woodbine was outstanding.

Yes, nice to see everyone. Twitter is fun, but they keep giving me 12 hours bans. Those that know me, I'm sure you can't imagine why either. I just got over 1,500 followers today
And yes, this is the real me. You can ask me any Beardy related Trivia. Better yet, tell Wolfman I said "Rick Wamsley and/or Bill Almon( I keep forgetting the 2nd dude)" He'll confirm it's me. I could also say something right wing or racist if that puts your minds at ease?
As far as imposters, was there one of me? Cause I kinda feel like I should have been the first one someone would want to pretend to be. If there wasn't, that would kinda bum me out
And Goodman, Season 1 was The Lorne Malvo Show, but that's a good thing. That dude was awesome. Two was great, but I just always preferred 1. I found That season 2 didn't really get that good until the second half, when Hanzee really became the bad ass. And it was tough to take Robert Barrone serious as the Mob Boss after you've seen him go "Is this about me?" for 9 seasons on Everybody Loves Raymond. And yes, Woodbine was great. His best role since trying to shake down Hesch on The Sopranos

His best role since trying to shake down Hesch on The Sopranos I was glad Brad Garret got killed off with little screentime. That's the great thing about Fargo, the great performances that come out of it. From great actors like Billy Bob to actors who never impressed me, like Martin Gilbert, to relative nobodies. I loved Jeffrey Donovan in S2. Jean Smart. And where the hell did Zahn McClarnon come from? I realize that roles for Natives are but he nailed it. And it was the best performance I've ever seen from Ted Danson.

Two episodes in an I'm loving it. David Thewliss is menacing and creepy as VM Varga. Loved the brief exchange with the Lot attendant. I will be interested to see the tie in with the opening scene. That was uneasy, like the opening scene to Inglorious Basterds

That was uneasy, like the opening scene to Inglorious Basterds I also just watched EP:2 last night. While Thewliss is mysterious and menacing I thought the episode moved a little slowly. Don't get me wrong, I still loved it and am looking forward to this week's episode.

The song that played out (S.O.B.) was the clincher, but the music across the pervious two series was brilliant.

Finally saw a trailer for it on Channel 4. No date yet though! "Coming Soon". At least it won't be on Netflix - I was starting to get worried.

I tried the leftovers - Not my thing. The show does require a certain taste. I read Stephen King, that explains why I like it.
