I could only find notices from funeral services concerning the passing of Mary Hartline, since those are more personal, and I guess meant for the nearest and dearest, I decided not to provide a link.

This was such a shock. I will most remember him for the 1991 updated version of Dark Shadows, which elevated the simple daytime soap opera story to epic heights. He brought his awesome talent to the role, and audiences were not ready or whatever, so the show got cancelled, one of the more heartbreaking cancellations for me. If you've never seen this version, it is available on DVD and Cross is one of the great tortured vampires of all time. It takes the subject matter much more seriously than the Tim Burton movie, it's an epic, gothic, vampire romance saga. Loved him on Banshee and in Star Trek also. R.I.P.

Going a bit OT here:
Last year, former child actor Johnny Crawford, now 74, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. May the time he has left be peaceful and comfortable until he joins Chuck Connors in that North Fork Ranch in the sky.
