I remember Helen Reddy for "I Am Woman," about strong females, and three songs about odd females--"Delta Dawn," "Angie Baby," and "Ruby Red Dress (Leave Me Alone)," with that phrase "leave me alone" repeated over and over again. I used to yell back at the radio, "LEAVE HER ALONE ALREADY!" R.I.P.
