Logan is more re-watchable, but Joker is technically the better movie. And that performance!

I like Joker a lot, but it’s not even the best film that year to tackle the same subject matter. Ultimately, it felt like a lesser (but still good) Taxi Driver.
I’m a sucker for Western tropes and Logan certainly delivers on that front. It’s not a perfect movie, but I was more invested in that story over Joker’s. It was nice send-off for the Wolverine character and the Fox X-Men universe as a whole (too bad they messed it up with more movies).

This competition became tighter than my jeans that I haven’t worn in 2-3 years.

While Joker was well-made and featured a great performance, Logan easily takes the cake for me.

I've changed my vote from Logan to Joker, making it a 20-20 tie.

Logan is far and away better. It actually has a point. The point was that poor economic conditions, the lack of mental health care, and the indifference of the rich created supervillainy in Gotham, and that can't and won't be fixed by another rich guy beating them up. At least that's how I interpreted it.

Logan changed the rules and I am fine with that. It is about old age, reflection and death as moviebuffbrad said. Charles Xavier has something akin to dementia. most of the mutants have been killed off by the reavers.
It's been awhile since I've seen the flick... so, I might have it wrong... but: I thought it was implied that most of the mutants being dead was due to Professor X's dementia causing him to lose control of his powers and causing psychic waves of destruction.. and killing them. Give that man a cigar. I thought I was the only one who heard that.

The user I replied to with that comment likes to think he's a rebel which is why that comment was meant in jest, these people in Gotham have the choice to leave that city and make something of themselves in the wider world instead of blaming Batman for the fuck ups they've made in their own lives like Movienotbuffbrad.

If were appying real world sociology and data and not ape brain movie logic, that's actually not really how it works.

No, that's actually how it works you look around you and if you see no hope, you leave for something better. Alternatively you can think like a pig and remain in the mud for the rest of your life like most cretins would.
