Mahomes deserved to win MVP, he made a lot of big plays and he did a marvelous job of bouncing back after the 2 picks, some players would’ve been crushed for good after that, but he came back and led the Chiefs on back to back TD drives to take the lead.

Young man had a huge weight on his shoulders, but came back strong. Best work from a young QB I've seen since Russell Wilson.

As to the question about the futures of these teams, I would say the future is very bright for both of these teams. I’m always hesitant to label a team a “dynasty” but I definitely think Mahomes and the Chiefs will be in more Super Bowls in the future, Mahomes is an excellent QB and the Chiefs have a boatload of talent, and it helps that they are clearly the best team in their division with the Broncos, Raiders and Chargers all rebuilding. The Niners have a great team as well and will definitely be Super Bowl contenders in the future as well, things will be a bit harder for them IMO just because their division is so strong and the NFC is deeper and more competitive than the AFC overall at the moment. But I could definitely see both of thes teams back in the Super Bowl soon.

I feel like that's becoming an annual sub-plot. Losing teams outcoaching themselves. Winning teams need their best players to be their best players.
