War of the Worlds - TV show streaming on Now TV. (Not the shitty BBC mini-series that was shown recently.)

All ten episodes of Star Trek: Picard are now available on Amazon Prime. I've enjoyed it so far but I hope episode 10 doesn't end on a cliffhanger as I can't really be arsed watching another season. amazon.co.uk/gp/video/detail/B083C3NX89/

And I'm a big Gabriel Byrne fan. Loved him in -
Miller's Crossing
The Usual Suspects End of Days
I made it through 6 episodes (not aware if there's anymore yet) - I can't really get invested in any of the characters - i.e. root for them - except for the guy who was watching all the babies.
Don't think I'll go back to it.
Think I'm one of the few that enjoyed the Tom Cruise movie.

He's not talking about the Gabriel Byrne WotW. He means this one: www.imdb.com/title/tt8001226/reference

Interesting indeed.
Can't be any worse than the Gabriel Byrne one airing now as well.
Anyone see the British Dracula mini series - was like 3 episodes like an hour and a half each that was just on Netflix?
I quite enjoyed the first 2 episodes - episode 3 was kind of a trainwreck for my tastes - but to be honest I lost interest and didn't give it my full attention

It was definitely worse than the Byrne one. Believe me!
With you on Dracula. I enjoyed the first two episodes. Episode 3 was shite.

Lived in Donegal, at least part of the year. Did you know his middle name was Mary? Gabriel Mary Byrne.

I started The Leftovers, finally. In retrospect, it was a poorly timed decision. I loved the Leftovers. A good friend also recently started it and we chat about it daily. It has to be surreal watching that show unfold with the backdrop of current events. Do you like it? Finished the first season last night. It's definitely a bit of a mess. And that quote from Family Guy "it insists upon itself" kept running through my mind, because it was really up its own ass at times. The titles and the score are good examples of that. BUT, it's right up my alley, in mood and style. I loved the acting, the directing and most of the writing. I really, really liked it overall. I enjoyed going back to see where Carrie Coon made her name because she is just great. I kinda think it ended more or less perfectly though, and half wish there *hadn't* been 2 more seasons.

Agree on Carrie Coon, she's the heartbeat of the show and she was the real consistent standout from start to finish.

Agree on Carrie Coon, she's the heartbeat of the show and she was the real consistent standout from start to finish. I never watched Lost but really enjoyed Watchmen. I'd had The Leftovers for a while but kept putting it off. It was the Watchmen podcast made me finally decide to give it a go, but it took me until this month to get it together (and convince the wife to try it). A couple Saturday night's back I watched the first 3 episodes after she went to bed and then started it over with her the next day... which is just as well because I think I got through 2 bottles of Marques de Caceres on that Saturday and could barely remember the third episode.
