Assume the reviews are equal, who will win the Box Office world wide totals? Wonder Woman will win easily. The most famous and most iconic female superhero starring in her 1st movie, after 75 years. An Oscar-winning director and 2 attractive and popular stars in Gal Gadot and Chris Pine. Past fame and Historical Icon doesn't mean the movie will be any good.

zoilus I have a question. Im not big into the Marvel/DC debate, so please excuse my foolishness and being confused here. (Youve never been a d*ck to me so I hope it doesnt start now! Again I am sorry for asking this!) Ok my question: Why would he be conflicted, does he hate Whedon? If so, you got any idea why? Hey, if anyone can answer, tyvm. Yes. He hates Marvel (but thinks DC is perfect). He hates The Avengers and Age of Ultron, both written and directed by Whedon. Ever since Whedon was announced as the director of Batgirl, dc-fan has not even acknowledged the news let alone said if he's excited or disappointed. That announcement has put him in a major pickle, and it's high-larious. If he were a robot, his head would exploded due to the paradox. Maybe he's just wise enough to take a wait-and-see approach about it? If a director I didn't like was helming a(n installment of a) movie (franchise) I cared about I would prolly have a hard time not souring on it, so I commend the dude for at least publicly giving Joss a shot. I'm sure he'll comment on the film when he sees it.

I'm sure he'll comment on the film when he sees it. No. He's definitely not 'wise enough to wait and see.' He's always making grand predictions. When he's wrong, he completely ignores any mention of the prediction or the result. At the beginning of last year he predicted the year's upcoming CBMs' box office success. He said Batman v Superman would be the highest grossing ever, and that Civil War and Doctor Strange would be massive failures. The reason he won't comment on Whedon directing Batgirl is because he's always using hyperbole ('Whedon sucks! DC is the best'!) so commenting on Whedon directing Batgirl would require him to either contradict himself or hedge. He'd rather remain completely silent.

He also keeps bringing up how Marvel's characters are nothing but DC knock-offs, ignoring how DC copied plenty of folks for THEIR characters.

Wonder Woman - $500 to 700M worldwide Captain Marvel - $300 to 500M worldwide 300? You're insane. Your vote doesn't even count, it could be complete shit and will get way more than 300. The Incredible Hulk - $263M

Wonder Woman - $500 to 700M worldwide Captain Marvel - $300 to 500M worldwide Your numbers for Captain Marvel sound right, but I think your numbers for Wonder Woman are too low. People have been clamoring for a female-led superhero movie for a long time. MCU has refused to make a female-led superhero movie so Wonder Woman will be the first female-led superhero movie in over a decade. It has an Oscar-winning Director and 2 attractive ad popular lead stars in Gal Gadot and Chris Pine. So Wonder Woman is going to have a huge box office and is going to easily beat Captain Marvel at the box office.

You predicted Doctor Strange "A November movie about a character no one knows or cares about" would fail. If you want to make new predictions, at least acknowledge your past predictions which FAILED.

I mean, admittedly I thought BvS would make more than it did, too. Who could've anticipated THAT level of unprecedented incompetence in terms of rolling out a movie?! Granted it was (essentially) pre-internet era but even Batman & Robin got OUT OF THE GATE before people started shitting on it.

WW has a larger potential audience but if it's crap, it won't matter.

I honestly think people think Wonder Woman has a larger audience, but she really doesn't.
The Marvel logo gives Captain Marvel all she needs. That's how much better Marvel has become.

And dont forget she will probably debut in Infinity War so that will create extra draw.

Nope, Wonder Woman has a large audience. She's been around for 75 years and she was not only on a live-action TV show in the 1970s but also on the Justice League animated series in the 2000s. So multiple generations of people have grown up either reading Wonder Woman comics and watching Wonder Woman on TV.
Nobody gives a shit about the Marvel logo. That's why Agent Carter got cancelled after just 18 episodes (less than a full season for normal TV shows) and that's why Agents of SHIELD always gets low ratings and is always on the bubble every year. Cause nobody gives a shit about the Marvel logo.

The DC fans are desperate for a good movie, not one they have to pretend is good or settle for grudgingly. If WW is workable, they will see it multiple times. She has an audience waiting

She has an audience waiting Now this is actually a great point I didn't consider. If it's even remotely good they'll have a pressing desire to see it multiple times. Great point and probably has a lot of merit to it.
And what I meant by her audience is comic fans and DC fans in particular, for some reason build Superman and WW up as though everybody just loves them and they'll automatically outdo other characters just because it's them, and we've seen that's not true. BVS proved that beyond a doubt, and so did MOS which barely outgrossed Thor TDW, and Superman Returns definitely did. They aren't the immortal characters everybody tries to make them out to be.

Things to think about: Captain Marvel will more likely than not have a MUCH larger budget, all MCU films range from 140-250M. For Wonder Woman its being reported to have just a 120M budget, so even if Captain Marvel wins the highest gross WW will likely earn the most profit. I appreciate the analysis, but it's really beside the point I'm asking here. I'm going for the who won the superbowl question, which isn't relevant to who paid the most for their players. That is like saying Get Out (4.5M budget) didn't profit as much or equal to Beauty and the Beast (160M budget). If you ask this question expect answers you don't like, and calm down fanboy.

I'm not asking about profit. I'm asking about revenue. Understand?

Now you're just desperate, and besides your question is this: "Who Wins the BO", winning is all about profit, understand?
