5. Notorious (I am good with it at this spot). 4. Rebecca (Not the biggest fan of early Laurence Olivier - my only deciding factor) 3. Rear Window (Favorite Jimmy/Hitchcock film by far) 2. The Lady Vanishes (is just as important by I really like the cleverness of this pic-tending to favor 30's pictures) 1. Psycho (that leaves Psycho number 4? on my list O.K.) Bogart or Welles, both have a limiting amount of films- something to really consider when playing this game, or you could have cut-off points like 30's/40's only etc...? Will pop back later and see where we stand

As usual, forgot to close the round. Our losers are therefore Notorious and Rear Window. Errr... Causing our list to become quite short indeed: The 39 Steps 1935 The Lady Vanishes 1938 Rebecca 1940 Strangers on a Train 1951 North by Northwest 1959 Psycho 1960 Perhaps I should have been superstitious. Two of my favorites are already gone. OK, OK, it's all up to you people, I won't get angry, I believe in democracy, but, c'mon, folks... ROUND 14 STARTS NOW, WILL CLOSE AT 9 PM TONIGHT!
I should note: this is the last round in which the first two will be eliminated. We shall still vote with a list, numbered out of 5, but only the first will be taken off the list.

Ah, well, if you ever needed proof that I'm thinking not of myself but only of you people, then look no further than that it looks as though my favorites will all be voted off, finishing up with Strangers and North by Northwest this round. What I do for you...

5.Rebecca 4.Psycho 3.The Lady Vanishes 2.Strangers on a Train 1.The 39 Steps
Psycho over Strangers on a Train, sounds impossible.... At least the 39 steps is being recognized as the truly fantastic little picture that it is.

l shall be like my old friend James Mason and keep a stiff upper lip, but Strangers on a Train is gone... (So's Rebecca, but let a fellow first do his mourning for the last of his three favorites--if anyone comes for North by Northwest, Mason and I shall forsake the stiff upper lip training and charge this heinous perpetrator! ) Therefore our list is... The 39 Steps 1935 The Lady Vanishes 1938 North by Northwest 1959 Psycho 1960 NOTE THAT ONLY ONE MOVIE WILL NOW BE REMOVED FROM THIS LIST AT A TIME. VOTING METHOD REMAINS THE SAME.
Round 15--weep, weep, stiff upper lip, old boy, stiff upper lip--begins now! (P.S. I have an appointment at noon tomorrow and will not be able to close the round then. I will when I can.)

5. The Lady Vanishes (I will agree) I have Lady Vanishes tied with Psycho. A very difficult choice for me to make but Psycho is a cultural landmark and very important to film history. Almost changed my vote again, that's how close these two films are in my mind but I am O.K. with this. Salzmank, I am still in shock that Vertigo went so early!!! I know that Strangers did come in at number six in a short list of some truly spectacular films...but Captain Nemo could sink his sub in both of our

Are we now voting for a deletion or a winner? Depending on the answer I may well change my vote.
