I wanted to create a thread about the Marvel Netflix TV series. This includes Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Daredevil. I feel like we can throw in Agents of SHIELD too, if you like, especially since this new Agents of Hydra arc has been so good. It seems weird to start this thread, but these shows are rarely discussed and with no more IMDB, I wanted to create this thread.
Anyway, anyone looking forward to The Defenders? I am. In fact, I just rewatched all four series just to get up to date. After seeing all of them a few times, I can definitively give this order:
Daredevil Jessica Jones Luke Cage Iron Fist
I found Luke Cage a little inconsistent and hated the ending on first viewing and actually loved Iron Fist and thought the critics were way off. After watching them all again I found Luke Cage to be much better and found Iron Fist to actually not be very good at all. The writing is downright terrible at times. I will say that Jessica Jones is amazing. The second viewing made me appreciate it even more. I am really excited to see how The Defenders and The Punisher turn out. I found Fisk and The Punisher to be the best comic characters ever put on screen. Daredevil and Luke Cage are good. Iron Fist is better than what the critics say. Jessica Jones is the worst. Jessica Jones is absolute crap. The worst CBM series ever produced. Watching paint dry is more interesting than watching an episode of Jessica Jones. |

I think the shows are spotty overall and definitely seem cheap in comparison to other hero shows. Daredevil is the best. I loved the atmosphere of Luke Cage. Hated Iron Fist I thought Daredevil and Luke Cage were good. I actually liked Iron Fist despite the lukewarm/mediocre reviews. I disliked Jessica Jones (Supergirl is better for female empowerment and angst) Overall DC universe is more enjoyable and better looking. Agree on both statements. Jessica Jones is absolute crap. The worst CBM series ever produced. Watching paint dry is more interesting than watching an episode of Jessica Jones. Supergirl is much better than that boring and crappy Jessica Jones. And the DC TV universe is much better than any of the MCU shows. |

Wow! I think you are not just wrong, but WAY off. What DC show even remotely matches the quality of Jessica Jones or Daredevil? Arrow? The Flash? Supergirl? Heck no. That is cheesy CW crap. Flash is okay. Arrow had a great first season and has gone downhill every year. Supergirl is just cheese fun. Nothing wrong with that, but the quality of a show like Daredevil trumps them in every way. Wow! I know you're not just wrong, but WAY off. Jessica Jones is absolute crap. I just can't get into MCU stuff. I started watching each of the first 3 series, but I couldn't get into any of them. I want to try Iron Fist because of Scott Buck. Believe it or not I liked his work on Dexter. But I'm just afraid I'll be disappointed by another MCU series. I did like the first season of Legion though. Daredevil, Luke Cage, and even Iron Fist aren't bad. But Jessica Jones is a snoozefest. Jessica Jones is absolute crap. The worst CBM series ever produced. Watching paint dry is more interesting than watching an episode of Jessica Jones. |

Wait, aren't you proving my point? You are going to use Daredevil to encompass the rest of the shows? If so, then yes, Daredevil is as good as the CW shows. The rest are not. It's that simple. It's OK to like the Marvel shows more although I prefer my comic book shows to be more comic booky than drama (That's what dramas are for), but I don't think their stories are any better than the DC ones and the DC ones have better action. Jessica Jones is also MUCH better than any of those shows and it is hilarious to think otherwise. Jessica Jones is the worst CBM series ever produced and it's hilarious to think otherwise. Watching paint dry is more interesting than watching an episode of Jessica Jones. |

I know you are joking now. The action in Daredevil blows anything on CW away easily. Jessica Jones did not have action scenes. Luke Cage had great action for what the character can do. These shows are just plain made better and take themselves more seriously. It works here too. The CW shows are awful. They are very amateurish. I haven't even seen Luke Cage or Iron Fist, but daredevil and Jessica Jones alone blow away anything on the CW. WRONG! Jessica Jones was awesome. It's definitely not a typical 'superhero' type story, because she's not a vigilante. She doesn't even think of herself as good, she says "I'm an asshole" and "I'm a piece of shit." Her fight is more personal than what you usually see. |

Daredevil is good but the fight scenes are a bit over the top sometimes. Luke Cage is good. I didn't care for Jessica Jones...the characters just don't interest me. I haven't seem Iron Fist yet.

Bump/ The Defenders comes out this month and I am excited. I hope the quality is more Daredevil than Iron Fist. I am maybe even more excited about The Punisher later this year.
