Some comic films this year got a remembrance milestone that was talked about I think the most obvious was X-Men 1 20th anniversary but Batman Begins also celebrated its 15th year anniversary. DC fans should have done a thread like this for batman begins.
But some good reviewing of batman begins after 15 years
‘Batman Begins’ Taught Us How to Take Batman Seriously (Onscreen)
It is good that people do look back on a film 15-20 years after and most of the verdict is, both films do hold up well for the most part. Some now give it extra love because they are movies not part of any connected universe and are true stand alones and they are before this mostly childish theme park comedy era of comic films that are doing no good for the genre.
These got me thinking about Endgame, I believe Endgame would be remembered for now because it is the highest grossing film, sure it may be the highest grossing movie not to have won any oscars but I think it been the highest grossing film would make people reflect at 10, 15 20 years.
However if and should Endgame loose its box office crown as the number 1 movie of all time, the movie will completely fade into obscurity and not be remembered at all. the movie does not do anything unique that xmen or batman did. I mean bioh film changed the genre and for the better. sadly but truthfully, there is not enough artistic drive about Endgame, that will make people revisit it again in 10-20 years. I am certain Avengers 1 has a higher chance of a revisit after 2 decades compared to endgame.
Again no hate, even Avatar struggled to be remembered after 10 years and most of the revisiting of Avatar were mixed in 2019. generic story but amazing visuals. Avatar loosing the number box 1 crown will have the movie mostly fade into obscurity.the same would happen with Endgame should it loose its box office crown.

I loved the 3D and that was it.
Aliens, Terminator 1 and 2 and Titanic are better films but you get where I am going with Endgame.

Yes you are hating on Endgame because you are a sad little troll, what else is new? Anyway even if Endgame lost it's highest grossing movie crown it would still likely hold numerous other records, as well as being the finale of the Infinity Saga the highest grossing movie endeavour ever conceived, the movie which saw the death of Iron Man which was an 11 year story in the making, to say it will be forgotten is not only ignorant but it's fucking stupid, do people forget about Jurassic Park despite it's record being broken and having a slew of mediocre sequels spat out? no people still love it, is ROTJ forgotten despite being the lowest grossing of the OT Star Wars films and the most mediocre of the trilogy? nope not even with the recent ST coming out and generally shitting all over it people still recall ROTJ, so yeah your "worry" that Endgame will be forgotten is dumber than the normal drivel you spew out on a regular basis.

Sure, like I hate Avatar. the fact that nothing I said is addressed shows i am right.
ROTJ was a good end to a trilogy, Endgame could have done something different to make people still remember it. Avengers 1 is going to be more memorable is Avatar 2 defeats Endgame.

Because most of what you said is mentally deficient drivel, X-Men and Batman Begins were stand alones not ocnnected to a universe...no both were the entry films for intended franchises, this is why Begins ends with Batman getting the Joker card despite this being retconned in the following movie and X-Men ends with the tease of Logan going to discover his past, Mystique pretending to be Kelly and Magneto alive, not dead, but alive in prison, with X-Men retroactively now belonging in the most ill conceived "connected" universe among all the major film universes. The there is nothing it does that X-Men and Begins didn't do, how about kill a main protagonist and retire the other? neither Begins or X1 do this, but Endgame does, sure X3 and Logan also do this in terms of major CBM's, maybe you can say Daredevil but not really because Elektra isn't built up as a character over 8 films like Tony or Jean were, Scott really wasn't sadly. The artistic shit is opinion YOU see no artistry in the movies and YOU don't think they have merit due to this, well fucking done whoopie your opinion, have it and shut the fuck up shitting on these films just because of it you pathetic cock smear, others do see this stuff in these movies, some love the story of Tony and Cap, MOST actually admire the VFX in the movies for the most part, and guess what the shit we go eh that looks bad is the minority of effects in the movies because the movies use just so much special effects, what got near unanimous praise in this and IW? the CGI of Thanos that they made the character feel like flesh and blood when he's a 8+ft tall purple alien, other people see merit in these movies you do not, and other people have a linguistic and reading comprehension level higher than a pre-schooler so I wonder whose opinion matters more? the people with functioning brains who can prove it by having valid conversations, or your chimp tickling arse? Avatar struggles to be remembered because the only thing it had going for it was it's visual effects at the dawn of the 3D renaissance, and it's crown as top of the box office mostly due to the near $1b in additional revenue it milked from people due to I-Max and 3D, where as Endgame sits as the conclusion of a 20+ movie series, it's marks the death and retirement of two main characters who had been with the audience for 11 and 8 years respectively over 9 and 7 movies and will likely stand as a major milestone in the MCU stories going forward, Endgame will be remembered due to it's legacy in and out of the cinematic universe, not just because it did great in the box office, and again like I said even if it loses the top of the box office crown it still holds numerous other records, so shove that up your arse you fucking dipshit.

The title of your thread IS A TRAP!! It doesn’t completely convey what your topic is about. But I would argue what movie is going to threaten End Game’s box office record for a long time? The Corona Extra virus is still shutting down many theaters. And nothing in future projects from DC, MCU, Avatar, or DSW looks like it will generate that much blockbuster power.

Batman Begins has the advantage of working well as a standalone film. It's comprehensible on its own terms and can be viewed completely independently of any other related films, whereas Endgame is the final installment of a multi-movie series from which it can't easily be detached. Apples and oranges.
RE Avatar - I agree that Cameron's older films were far more enjoyable. I'll take The Terminator, Aliens or True Lies over it any day of the week.

Outside us comicbook movie fans, the first X-Men movie and Batman Begins ARE actually fading into obscurity.
Ask the casual movie goer and they'll have a hard time remembering scenes from those movies.

Xavier and Logan died in Logan like stark, all of them were retiring from the roles, so in a way it does not sound as tragic, Endgame did not do anything new. I hate to say this but who are the most that admire the VFX? only mcu fans. even the marvel fans of 10 years ago will tell you the VFX of Spiderman 2 or X2 is better. One of the biggest critics of Endgame is the VFX. Where did you think Scorsese got the notion they are theme parks cartoons? other marvel actors William dafoe and the first actor to play hulk called the cgi excessive. endgame is the highest grossing film that failed to even win an oscar for visual effects. please the vfx of endgame is some of the worst. its video game. to compare it to Avatar is insulting. also didn't james cameron slam the Avengers movies? wtf are u talking about. It may hold numerous records but loosing the number 1 spot is the most important and will matter.

Why would it not be remembered? You have movies like Ghost Rider, Daredevil and Fantastic Four that are 13-18 years old and people still remember and talk about them and they were poor movies that made a fraction of the amount.
People don't just forget about movies. Remember Disneys The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe? War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise? Peter Jackson's King Kong? Mr and Mrs Smith? Meet the Fockers?
Yeah those are 15 years old.

It's not so much of a "If" but "when"
It took over a decade for Avatar to be dethroned, maybe it will be the same for Endgame? Who knows?
It definitely won't be anytime soon, especially with the ongoing pandemic.

Scabab it has nothing to do with bad movies or good movies. I think endgame is open to interpretation. mcu fans love it and think it was great but the movie managed to anger many film directors and some older marvel fans especially with the handling of Thor
It became the highest grossing FOR NOW but its the only highest grossing film we know in recent history that did not bring anything new or innovative to cinema
Jaws, Titanic and Avatar and Star Wars did.
So their fans pray it does not loose the title if it does, it becomes another forgettable mcu movie.
