This is what happens when you get your info from Youtube. Interestingly, almost all of the "he did nothing!" blog claims originated from one source: The Heritage Foundation. Who funds the heritage foundation? Oh! The Koch brothers!  Now why on earth would Big Oil want us to think that? But the Agua Caliente Solar Power Project (as well as the next four largest solar fields in existence) owe their existence to that initiative. And that's just the tip of the melting iceberg. Warning! Why should a high earner like me pay for a socialized police and fire service that subsidies poor people like you and offers you coverage equal to me? I thought all we'd seen was a 2009 return or something? All I've seen is Maddow holding a dated document up and getting roasted by her own side for milking nothing. This gets a little silly when even Macron had to set up dummy servers to handle the influx of interference. I can guarantee you the US does what it can to interfere in foreign elections, why anyone would doubt the other side tries the same is beyond me. This story was born and died inside a month. Yet Breitbart chat sections are still filled with Pizza Gate, "trail of dead bodies" tales, and Jone's stories are still pitched despite his having admitted the whole thing was an act for ratings.  Yeah, ok man. People just bought that Clinton was running a pizza shop child factory out of "desperation". You play a bit at being non-partisan but LORDY. I suspect that those on either side who willingly sought out "blog journalism" for their info believed what they did for the very simple reason of confirmation bias. We like to believe what we want to hear. But your phrasing would certainly read nicely on those same blog-sources. . Read Erjen's posts - he's a nice snapshot of Trump's general voter block. He's not desperate, he just enjoys the notion of being the sole in-the-know force against hidden evils. Trump's "just say anything and hope something sticks" brand of campaigning fed that dynamic nicely. . |

What you can't or won't accept is the fire and police service are a "socialised" service as well. They are both free at the point of access, and the level of service you receive is not based on your ability to pay. I and people like me in your state pay more towards maintaining the police and fire service through our taxes(both income and property) than low earners like you. We subsidise people like you who pay less but get the same level of service. Now should high earners like me be able to opt out of paying for the police and fire service? Could we instead pay a private police force and fire service to meet our needs, services that would prioritise us and not poor people who don't pay their fair share. Why are people like me not given that option in the UK or USA Erjen? Do you think we should? |
