There really aren't. Gellar has eclipsed Swanson in that respect. Her portrayal made Buffy a cultural icon. Heck, there are university classes taught on Buffy as a show, with Swanson just a footnote as the original actress. You mistake me for saying a majority, I am not. Your mistake was saying "almost as equal." It's not even close.

Let's face it, when was the last time it aired on ABC Family?
If that orange monster is in it, the Loony Libs won't want their kids tarnished by his wicked presence. They might turn into republican monsters too, but the scarier thing is, that is what many probably believe too. Just like the loony right with the gay and trans community.

It's technically FreeForm these days, but to be honest not very much, I guess its partly because it was made from a different company.

In regards to entertainment most people would prefer gay and trans characters in content that is geared towards more mature demographics as opposed to those that are geared towards kids who are still learning basic mathematics and grammar and whole families. If they must be in there then it is suggested the creators be fairly subtle with it, when they're not its when controversy occurs.

That's because heterosexuality has been the norm since the dawn of recorded history and still to this day the number of man and women pairings outweigh the number of gay pairings in the world population, many faiths over the years have reinforced the concept that man and women should be together and continue to spread more life onto the Earth. A couple comprised of two people with the same gender cannot have a child the ordinary way.
