Twitter is blowing up about Drew Brees returning next season but I can't tell if its real or just a massive joke. The memes are funny though.

Chiefs will sell naming rights to Arrowhead. Nuts doesn't come into the NFL discussions too much so I'll act as him:

KC cutting both Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz. BOTH of their starting tackles. It's going to be a bloodbath out there this offseason with the cap falling. There will be a lot of very good veterans signing one year deals this season.

Last I heard was the top tier FA's will still get paid but will look for 4 year deals so they can hit the market again when the cap is expected to jump back up. Last I heard was 2025 was when it is to be expected. I think that is part why Dak signed for 4 years. But its the older veterans who are still good that could be had for cheaper on one year deals. A lot of speculation on players in that tier signing 1 year deals to "ring chase".

Which would have been great for my Steelers in recent years, but I don't think veterans will be considering them a "ring destination" this year.

Sure, they'll be contenders but its hard enough getting players to come to Green Bay and play in the cold. GB isn't exactly as attractive a place to live as say LA or TB. I personally would much prefer the small town but thats just me.

Three words for tomorrow:
Legal Tampering Period
Two-thirds of the major free agents have a home before actual free agency begins.
Can't wait.

Aaron Jones has resigned with the Packers at 4 years and $48 mill. Not a big fan of this as I am mostly in the dont pay RBs mindset. Specially when you just drafted his replacement last year in the 2nd round.

I can understand Rodgers' problem with having the top two draft picks of last year doing practically nothing for two years running (if Jones stays healthy).

AJ Dillon, the Packers second draft choice last year, did have some playing time, he played in 11 games and rushed for 242 yards last year and I expect him to get more of a role this year. I will never get why the Packers drafted Jordan Love in the first round last year, when drafting a receiver really could’ve helped them.

If they let Jamal Williams go, then he could carve out that role. That's a good deal of money for Jones, though, to give Dillon too much of a role. Certainly he could cash in as a redzone back, though.
