Stupid reply? I'm talking about depicting a high school kids aunt. What's the problem with updating her from the comics? Don't get upset about it, I'm just wondering why you would prefer some old woman to aunt hottie. Is aunt may really the character that needs to be comic accurate? Speaking of, why WERE Aunt May and Uncle Ben so old, anyway? I mean, I know some siblings have big age gaps. My mom is 15 years her younger sister's elder, but it isn't really THAT common. Right. I really don't understand saying your reason for preferring some old woman to Marissa Tomei, is because it's more like the comics. Really dude? Marissa tomei or random old woman, hummmmmmmmmmmm, which is better,,,,, geeeeee, this is a tough one.

She was never meant to be THAT old in the first place. It was just that back in the 1960s printing techniques meant that you had to really go out of your way to make someone look elderly. May would've looked the same age as Mary Jane or Gwen if they hadn't drawn wrinkles on her as much as they did. Problem is, it became such a signature look for her that the later artists kept over-wrinkling her to the extent she was a walking cadaver.

I thought Sally Field was a happy medium, aesthetically, between the aunt may from Raimi's movies and Tomei.
Prolly the only good thing about those damn Garfield movies.

Like I couldn't suspend disbelief that that dude would even bother with that dog-face, Emma Stone, much less that he was Peter Parker.
