I also like it when they focus on the makeup stuff.

CANNON- The Predators--- Frank has to help a rancher escape a murder rap involving a Mexican border jumper who was killed by a nasty trap used to kill coyotes. His prime suspect is a gangster turned landowner but the clues start to lead in another direction. He doesn't do much fighting but gets trapped in a mine shaft and concludes the episode by saying he needs to go on a diet.

The Wild Wild West: The Night of the Legion of Death - Starts with Jim West shooting a man waiting to be hanged and then he is being hunted by a state militia led by a tyrannical governor (Kent Smith) but his secretary (Anthony Zerbe) seems to be making all the decisions. Not much in the way of James Bond in this but that is what I liked about it--it feels more like a Civil War Noir story as a change.
Mannix: To The Swiftest, Death - Mannix investigates the death of a fellow race car driver (yes Mannix was in the race). He is saddled with two sidekicks in this which makes one wonder what was so bad about Wickersham and Intertect? Worse--as the end credits rolled I realized i had missed Ward Cleaver's cameo. Hugh Beaumont was in this and I didn't recognize him? Not even Gus the Fireman can console me with his wisdom.
Hunter: Pen Pals-- such a silly story but it was entertaining--Hunter is framed for a drug dealer's murder and sent to county lockup to await trial where he is surrounded by salty-looking dudes who want to kill him.
Meanwhile McCall is seeking to get evidence to help her incarcerated partner and ends up assigned a wannabe ladykiller (Tim Thomerson).
Hunter befriends a wimpy inmate who helps him get some prisoner information by distracting a secretary with bad jokes like "a guy goes to his psychiatrist and says 'I feel like a teepee one day and a wigwom the next--what's my problem?' The doctor says: 'your problem is you are too tense.' Get it? two tents?"

TIME TUNNEL - The Last Patrol -- Carrol O' Connor gets to play two parts (and travel back in time) in an episode about the war of 1812.
CANNON - A Long Way Down - An inner city doctor gets framed for a drug theft and Cannon has to help him while busting a drug smuggling ring.
KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER - Ripper - This show sure looks good in HD.

McMillan & Wife "Till Death Do Us Part" -where Mac and Sally get trapped in a house by the "Asylum Killer" until Rock Hudson hits him on the head with a statue they considered their worst wedding present.

ROCKFORD FILES - This Case is Closed parts 1-2 -- Jim (so many Jims in tv) is hired by Joseph Cotten to get dirt on his would be son-in-law but ends up stalked by the mob and the feds. His father tells him there are three Rockfords in the phone book, "you, me, and a guy who got beat up because they thought it was you."

McCLOUD - Give My Regrets to Broadway -- I have seen it before but it is worth rewatching. I don't know if the Frolicking Forties (a show being rehearsed in the film) was a real musical but Boogie Woogie Gi Joe is a catchy tune.

MANNIX Downfall part 1/2 - an Intertect agent is killed and Mannix has to investgate the case he was on involving industrial espionage with a laser device in development. Roscoe Lee Browne is the prime suspect and he doesn't hold back his view that his color plays a role in the scrutiny he receives---but that includes an obsessive focus by Wickersham who is taking experiment steroids which is driving him to agitated behavior and delusions! He keeps seeing Dana Elcar (the deceased agent) around town. Mannix gets beaten up while Wickersham is too drugged up to help and later they have a fist fight. It was ridiculous that Mannix took so long to notice his crazy behavior. Wickersham ends up kidnapped by Elcar and put in a building but he escapes by climbing out through a narrow pipe after hearing a cat above. He puts loops at periodic intervals in the rope so he can grab and put his feet in--pretty clever makeshift rope ladder. Never seen that done before. Knots yes, but not loops.
CANNON The Rip-Off --His apartment is robbed of everything and a psycho gangster (George Maharis) is responsible. He thinks Cannon is working for his ex (Stephanie Powers) so she can win his child custody fight. Definitely a better episode with a nasty villain similar in threat to one a few weeks back (the show went up in ratings around this time).

MADIGAN - The Naples Beat - Mafia informant promises to reveal information on drug trafficking in New York if he can be smuggled out. But he ends up dead and Madigan has to find where he may have left the information as a back up. A few faces familiar to Eurocrime show up including the 'Italian Peter Lorre' Luciano Pigozzi.

THE WILD WILD WEST - The Night of the Iron Fist - Mark Lenard is a Bosnian count with a metal hand (looks more like silver rather than iron and it is an open palm) being escorted by West while Artie assumes the role of the count to trick would-be rescuers. Some funny bits and the first episode I can think of where Jim laughs (when he whistles to his horse and he tosses Lenard from the saddle).
IRONSIDE - Eye of the Hurricane - Convicts hold Ironside hostage so they can escape the big house.
PETROCELLI - To See No Evil -- Tony helps a blind woman (Julie Kavner) accused of murder. Oh Homie! You can't easily tell it's her because the Marge voice is more gravelly than her real voice. The big crisis is a highway is going to go through the spot where their unfinished house is.
It is also Tony's birthday and Pete has a surprise present for him.

Alias Smith and Jones - pilot movie 1971. I remember catching this show in reruns. I was reading about the star's suicide and how they were forced by the network to keep the show going before low ratings got it cancelled. Somewhat humorous, helped by guest stars like Earl Holliman and Susan St. James. Sid Haig appears but doesn't say much.

MANNIX You Can Get Killed Out There - Finally Mannix decides to leave Intertect and Wickersham tries to talk him out of it. But then he gets involved with a stolen jewelry case and by the end is back at the agency. But you can see why it was getting long on the tooth because Wickersham has to show up at the end so he's doing something and it seems gratuitous.
CANNON Child of Fear - Season 2 really ups the ante with the villains he has to face. There's more nastiness and in this case Clu Gallagher is a corrupt private security man holding his employer as a hostage. We learn that Cannon is in fact a fussy eater -- in the previous season he would eat anything if he was hungry but now he is focused on his home cooking.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE - The Counterfeiter-- This was a good one with Edmond O'Brien as a drug pill fraudster and they trick him into thinking he has health problems through various gimmicks to trap him.

HAWKINS - Life for a Life - Looks like Strother Martin ain't coming back--he's been missing for two episodes and they paired James Stewart with real lightweights (younger and anonymous) I assume to give him more focus. The writing for these courtroom shows are better than average. This had William Windom as an angry father wanting revenge on some college nerds for his son's suicide and Tyne Daly as his equally angry daughter. Coincidentally or maybe not there is some connection between this story and ROPE since it involves academics plotting murder based on superiority beliefs.

THE INVADERS - Panic - Robert Walker (jr) is an alien with a disease that causes humans to freeze to death by touch. He wants to escape on an alien ship before the regular aliens kill him. David Vincent wants to catch him before he kills earthlings. Not sure why he didn't just let the aliens get to him first. It would have actually saved some lives.
Maybe David Vincent is secretly working with aliens. Better yet, he was an alien from, another planet who wanted to defeat the aliens so his planet could take it. That would have been a twist for the final episode.
MANNIX- Figures in a Landscape - S 4 Someone calls Mannix and says he wants to kill him. The voice is garbled so they assume it is someone he knows (Wickersham?). He gets put on a case to find the nymphomaniac wife of Victor French. But then he gets shot at in a photo shop. Loretta Swit shows up and she gets shot at too. Pretty contrived but it held interest.
CANNON The Shadow Man-- Another winner. This with Lois Nettleton as a client seeking a missing husband--but suspicions keep falling on her. The villain is quite crafty actually. This also features Bert Freed as a police lieutenant. He was Lt. Columbo before Peter Falk. I don't know if his appearance as the character is anywhere available. He obviously would have been much less quirky than Falk but they do resemble each other.
