The last one I actually paid to see was Civil War. This got me thinking about when I stopped seeing every MCU movie in the theater. I stopped going after The Dark World. I did see a couple in the theater after that, but my need to see every one on the big screen died with The Dark World.

There are threads about that on here somewhere.

Only Spiderman, WandaVision and Shang-Chi have been truly good for me so far, and WandaVision messed up its ending. What IF is decent enough I suppose but it's too inconsistent. The rest of the shows pissed me off. Loki completely character-assassinated Loki, BW is in the bottom tier of my MCU movie rankings, and TFATWS was just so much wasted potential. So yeah, I have to say I'm not too impressed so far. The D+ shows in particular are turning me off, especially since the MCU shows were the main reason I subscribed to D+. To be honest, I'm a bit worried for Thor and Dr. Strange. I have this dread that they'll character-assassinate both Thor and Dr. Strange like they did Loki, or that maybe they'll throw them to the background in order to make way for the newer band of characters like they did to Bucky and Natasha. Your enjoyment of Thor 4 will likely depend on your enjoyment of Thor 3. I personally really enjoy that version of Thor and am extremely excited to see the Thor Corps with Frog Thor and Beta Ray Bill. I don’t think Dr Strange will be overshadowed. Raimi loves the character. His second favorite after Spider-Man. The reason Loki was character assassinated was because his arc was 100% done in Infinity War and bringing him back for a series was beyond gratuitous.

The streaming shows are not cinema so not MCU. FACT. I actually agree with this. I don’t think of them as canon. I still doubt they’ll factor into the saga in any meaningful ways since Marvel needs general movie going audiences to know what’s going on, and cannot take for granted that they have DisneyFlix.

They won’t factor into the MCU at all, just like Agents of SHIELD.

They were so adamant that he would come back in the movies! Now it’s officially not canon. 😂😂😂

Indeed! And they’re making a Winterman/Captain Flacon movie anyway which kind of renders the series complete filler. Is Captain Flacon a big enough deal to carry his own film? Probably not. And I’m not sure it’ll work to be honest. The character has had very little development over the saga. And I’m not sure Mackie is a great lead.

And I’m not sure Mackie is a great lead. He’ll do fine so long as he isn’t bitching about woke issues. That will hurt the BO if he does.
