I have no doubt that Disney has a think tank dedicated to the reunification of all Marvel IP. They'd be fools (or foolish) not too. It should be the corporate version of collecting Infinity Stones. This needs to be job number one for Disney/Marvel Studios.
If you subscribe to the idea that Disney and WB are competing via the MCU and DCEU and, you're looking for THEE deciding factor that will see one best the other (in all the ways that matter to people in suits and ties) - it is this; the DCEU has endless potential for ALL of their characters to converge, clash and defend on the big screen. No story arc, no matter how obscure, complex or massive is beyond their reach. No DCEU character will ever need a proxy a rewrite or deep derangement of their source.
If Marvel doesn't recover all of its IP, its days are numbered.

I hope not. Don't need a Disney monopoly. Fox is doing unique things with their X-Men movies. Disney would have NEVER given us Deadpool or Logan. Keep them away from Feige.

While I definitely think that Fox needs to just hand over the Fantastic Four back over to Marvel, I still fully believe that the X-Men are better off remaining separate.

You can call it "owning" or "renting", but the bottom line is that Fox are the ones who currently have the legal rights to make films with the Fantastic Four, while Marvel doesn't.

Frankly I've had zero interest in what Fox is doing. Deadpool was fine, but it's not bigger than itself. That's what's great about what Marvel is doing. Every film is more than just a film. I'm really not interested at all the X-verse.

Genuine Marvel fans deserve a WHOLE universe. We deserve it like human beings deserve air. If this were any other IP, no one would be entertaining the (frankly ridiculous) idea that dissection was good for the patient. "Hey you, grab a leg! Great, I'll take an arm! Dude, I got the kidneys! LOL!" I respect your opinion but, I can't agree and will never be anything but hardline on the issue. Thanks for your input.

I'm generally ok with them being separately completely. I just think it would be a total clusterfuck to try to work a franchise that large into everything else going on.

I'm aware, but there's nothing particular interesting about that on it's face, unless you just really want to watch an X-Force film that also isn't going anywhere.
Don't get me wrong, if there were some grand vision for the X-Verse, I'd be all in, but I just don't see that right now.

The Children of the Atom belong with their brethren. You can never illustrate the double standard of man who gains amazing powers through a freak accident and is beloved and, a child born with the same who is hated and feared unless they coexist. Logistics be damned - bring home the Homo Superior.

Honestly, I've never cared for Deadpool or any of the characters or groups that came from that period (X-Force, X-Factor, Generation-X, X.S.E., Cable, Domino, etc.). Deadpool came out of one of the most creatively bankrupt eras in the long and storied history of Marvel Publications. It was a period of rampant collector speculation, endless parades of shitty variant covers, zipper malfunctions, and heroes carrying more swords than they had hands for and guns bigger than houses. If Fox was looking for the bottom of the Marvel X-Universe barrel; they found it. If anyone is fooling themselves into believing Deadpool represents the second coming of Fox X-productions - they should reconsider that position. Can't wait for that Shatterstar movie to be a runaway hit at the box office.

I don't know why everyone likes the xmen movies. The only good ones were Xmen first class was because of Matthew Vaughn directing,Days of Future past because it fixed the timeline, and Logan only because it was just such a badass movie. Other than that they were awful. I think Disney would have respected the characters more. They seemed to get Spidey right.

By the way, "peace" is slang for goodbye. Nice talking to you.

By the way, "peace" is slang for goodbye. Nice talking to you. I'll keep posting if I good and well please, thank you. By the time Marvel is in a position to buy the X-Men back, it'll be well past the current incarnation of the MCU. So it'll be a big "meh" at that point (if it ever happens, which I don't expect it to).
