Player. Team. Sport. You name it. Eric Lindros from the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL sheds tears as he wins the Hart Trophy for being the MVP - Most Valuable Player in the league - going up against 2 icons - Jaromir Jagr and Dominic Hasek. Lindros thanks management, ownership, his parents - then while talking about the fans of Philadelphia - he thanks them choking up telling them 'We're gonna do it' all while trying not to break down and compose himself as onlookers are in a bit of awe of how thankful and grateful he is. Great stuff. Link: Lindros Thanks Philly Fans - Chokes UpAny tear jerkers of yours out there? Go! ![](http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e41/imdbv2/imdbsmileys/cheers.gif)

Bill Mazeroski's bottom of the 9th, 7th game HR in the 1960 WS to beat the heavily-favored Yankees. I was 13 at the time and I couldn't help it, I cried.

The rally for the Bills at Niagara Square after Super Bowl XXV. I didn't go because I thought the fans would abuse Scott Norwood. Instead, he got the biggest applause. I've never been more proud to be a fan of a team.

Not really a moment, but the '98-'99 Knicks were tragic. They were the 8th seed and defeated top-seeded Miami in the first round. Then they beat Atlanta, and the Pacers, but lost Patrick Ewing, and the team had no big men left by the time they got to the finals. They still managed to win one game.
That season and finals was made even more tragic because the Knicks suck, and have sucked for 17 years, with a brief interregnum back in 2012-2013 when they had a bunch of veterans and solid players who managed to make Carmelo Anthony look somewhat decent -- Jason Kidd, Kenyon Martin, Marcus Camby, Tyson Chandler, and a bunch of guys (Shumpert, Novak) who had very good years from behind the arc.

Tear Jerker: I'm late to the party. Apparently this guy was at the Olympics and injured himself while competing. His dad comes out on the track to help him finish the race. You don't get emotional over this? You don't have a heart: Dad Helps Son Finish Olympic RaceMakes you put things in perspective.

Amazing how hard 'Dice' fell. Relegated to the 'cheap seats' at a discount during weeknights in the spring screaming at your home teams least appealing rival. 'Hey DIE-EZZZZZ!!!! Little Miss Muffet Sat On A.......OHHHH!!! AYYYYY!!!' 'Hey DIE-EZZZ!!!! Little Jackie Horner .....Turned On A.............OHHHH!!!! AYYYY!!!!' 'Hey DIE-EZZ!!!!.....' God Bless Dice...............

That was the only time Sucky Fucky Dent ever hit the ball out of the infield in his life. Still bitter? not me...

After Endy Chavez robbed Scott Rolen of a HR in Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS, I knew the Mets would go on to win that game and face the Tigers in the WS. Then, of course, Aaron Hellman serves up a beach ball to Yadier Molina in the 9th, Beltran watches strike 3 float by, and that was it. They were so good that year, I remember sitting in the stands for about 15 minutes afterward, just stunned. That was rough.

From a tears of joy perspective, I teared up when Ripken took his victory lap after he broke Gehrig's record. I cried like a baby when the Phillies won in 2008. 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team (more if I watch it as an adult than back then, I was 10 then).
From a heartbreak perspective, when Pelle Lindbergh and Jerome Brown passed away. When Ivan Drago kills Apollo Creed....

I'm not a Cubs fan, but I live around Chicago. And honestly, last November was about as emotional as it gets. Just thinking about all the old timers that finally saw it happen, and those that never did.

Jason McArtney returns to the AFL after getting blown up in a terrorist bombing of Bali (the guy dragged several people out of the wreckage with severe burns to his face and his right arm half falling off). He sets up the winning goal and then announces his retirement after the game.
Other AFL one would be the Melbourne team all wearing Troy Broadbridges number linking arms as they walked off the MCG after he had died on the 2004 tsunami, basically sacrificing his life to get his wife to safety on her honeymoon.
Impossible not to get choked up by stuff like that.
