One good two minute scene in the final episode of a 6-part series does not justify this show’s existence. This never should’ve been made. It’s bad almost completely.
Also almost broke down in tears seeing Andrew Stanton helped write this thing. I’ve been defending that dude since John Carter. He just made that job much harder lol.

I’ve only seen the first episode, but I’m wondering how they have Obi and Vader duel twice without breaking the canon of 77. “When we last met I was but a learner, now I am the master” “Only a master of bad memory, Darth. We met again twice eight years ago!” I think he was calling him a Master Bater.

Leia didn’t seem too upset by Obiwan’s passing in ANH which is strange considering how much time they spent together. Another retcon. It was pretty clear in SW77 that she never knew him. She says “you served my father in the clone wars”, not: “you once hid me under your coat when I was a kid”. Yes! Everyone remembers this scene in ANH when Leia comforted Luke while he was grieving Ben’s death. And she said “Don’t feel bad. He wasn’t that smart anyway. He hid me under his coat when I was a little girl to escape an Imperial compound. Dumbest thing I ever saw! But it worked somehow!”

His hand's set on vibrate I want a robot hand! I want a robot hand! I want a robot hand! And when I switch on I feel happy, inside It's such a feeling that my glove It can't hide! It can't hide! It can't hide! When you get that setting I think you'll understand When you feel that something You'll want a robot hand! You'll want a robot hand! You'll want a robot hand!

I think they tried to explain with Obi-Wan telling her that nobody can know about their little (mis)adventure. Does it really make sense? Probably not. But they did at least try to give some in-universe reason. Hell, Vader and Kenobi even meeting again breaks canon, depending on your point of view.

There’s really no escaping that this series was gratuitous. What does it ultimately even add to Obi Wan’s story that is worth anything?

I'm gonna keep this brief. The last episode was shit too. One cool scene does not make an episode good. And three cool scenes does not make a series good. The entire show is a kick in the nuts.
I need to stop hate-watching shows. It's not good for my mental health. I fucking hated this goddamn show. I feel like a fucking asshole for watching it.

I feel the finale redeemed things. I got Obi-Wan calling him “Darth”. It also had Obi-Wan momentarily try to reach Anakin which makes Vader’s talk with Luke make more sense in ROTJ.
There shouldn’t be a season 2. This was pushing it as it is.

I felt the same way when I watched Mando season one and the first few Marvel shows. I’ll tell you this though: when you cancel that subscription you will feel AMAZING! Do it right now. You’ll feel better instantly. I promise.

Like the prequels, all the interesting stuff was saved for the last episode. The scene between Vader and Obi-Wan was legitimately pretty excellent. Not just the fight, which was cool and creative, but the resolution was surprisingly emotional considering I thought their relationship was poorly conveyed in the PT. Ewan was firing on all cylinders.

Do you think that Heyden will be able to fit it into his busy schedule?

Is this the fight scene people are praising? I know I’m watching it out of context, but good god this is the worst gratuitous fan service I’ve ever seen. Plus, the background environment looks atrocious. Like a video game cut scene

Plus, the background environment looks atrocious. Like a video game cut scene I thought the fight was bad, but the scene after when Obi-Wan slices Vader’s helmet and reveals his scorched face was excellent. Anakin’s voice cutting in and out between Vader’s was a nice touch. It was actually somewhat emotional. I’ve always liked their friendship and found it overhated among most fans.
