Happy Halloween, everyone! Starting the day with The Wolfman (#96) and The Creature From the Black Lagoon (#97). Hope to hit 100 or even 101 by this evening. Wow dude. Well done. I haven't really ever participated because I never thought I'd have the time, and then this year I have no time at all. But I love that this is a thing. Haven't even really checked this thread til now, but I'm very impressed. Thanks! For what it's worth, I probably won't push myself to do that again, but I'll still participate regardless. I view it less as a competition against others as I do a fun tradition to celebrate my favorite month of the year. I would honestly encourage you (or anyone!) to jump in next year, even if you only watch a dozen or so in the month. The more the merrier!

I've never done it before, but I always loved the idea. There's a good chance I'll have more opportunity to watch some stuff, but I knew going in this year that there just wouldn't be any time. I've probably watched like 2 or 3 new horror movies this month.

First time viewings Top 3 Hereditary 9/10 Black Phone 7/10 Barbarian 7/10 Bottom 3 Pooka 3/10 Margaux 4/10 The Dark Half 4/10 Rewatches Top 3 Tucker and Dale vs Evil 9.5/10Stay Alive 9/10 The Conjuring 8/10 How I wish I could re-watch Tucker and Dale, but as a "First time view" experience. Such a lovely and fun film, and thought about adding it into the last final days, but did see it again not too long ago, but yeah, I rated it also very high with a 9/10, and would love a sequel to it, if that might happen. When I first watched it I remember thinking it was so unique. Never before had I laughed so much at a horror comedy. It was charming and I loved the characters as well. Was just such a good time watching it. Its still hilarious rewatching it too. Not sure what they could do for a sequel though. I would watch it of course but I feel like it would ultimately be a let down.

Well actually finding it hard to find something to watch tonight. 😆 Because I started so early in the Summer.
Tonight I settled on Argento's "Deep Red" which is a first time watch. If I watch anything else I'll post here.
But heck that may be it for me for this year with horror. Time to move on to other genres for awhile. It was fun reading other people's lists and thoughts.

I hit 100 last night with another rewatch of Creepshow. Really didn't expect to hit my number so easily! I hope everyone had a good time and I look forward to seeing the results whenever they come out.

Challenge completed on the 22nd. Maybe my earliest ever. 41 movies in total, 23 FTVs.
Worst FTV was either Hocus Pocus 2 or Halloween Ends. Maybe the latter, since the former barely counts and I wasn't looking forward to it. BEST FTV was either X or Pearl - don't make me choose! (it's Pearl if you make me choose)
On a personal note; hope life's being kinder to you now, LostinLimbo. Thanks for your efforts once again.

Total - 50 First Time Views - 25 Top 5 New Views 1. Willys Wonderland 2. Werewolf By Night 3. Frankenstein 4. The Funhouse 5. Attack of the Killer Donuts The Funhouse is in my watch list. Just never got around to it. Oddly enough I'm still in the watch a horror film before bed mode. I damn near got Exorcist 3 in but never finished it before deadline. Funhouse easily seems like one ill watch soon.

Made it with about 30 hours to spare. 31 movies, 18 FTVs. Two of those were Rifftrax Live, but I found they match up to the rules (got their own IMDb page, credited as Horror).
Favorite FTV was Barbarian. Worst was Last Slumber Party.
A highlight was seeing the original Dawn of the Dead in theaters (with dodgy 3D, but I digress). Also showing my girlfriend the TCM remake, which freaked her out good. Underrated movie.

Wondering if it was an issue just with my theater or in general?
