Stuart Gordon teaming up with Producer Brian Yunza and writer Dennis Paoli. Potent visuals (colourful one minute grotesque the next), dark tongue in cheek humour and spot on performances (especially Combs iconic Dr West). A funny anecdote someone told here
Gordon was making a movie in Italy and a crewman was pounding something with a hammer and Gordon asked him to stop.
The crewman said "Fellini lets me hammer."
Gordon: "Well, I'm not Fellini."
Crewman: "That's for sure."

I wonder if that anecdote was during Castle Freak, where they were filming in an actual Italian castle owned by Charles Band. King of the Ants is a pretty good crime-horror feature. I sorta like Gordon’s films around that period. |
